Not an "Until I Die" stream, but a timed run of Bonk's Adventure for the TurboGrafx-16.

So, I recently started a little series of streams on Twitch I've been calling my "UNTIL I DIE" streams.  I will pretty much just load up a lot of games in an emulator and play them for one life.  Most of them I've never played before and some go very quickly.  But as soon as I die the first time, I move on to the next game.  I go through quite a few games in one stream, sometimes around 50, 60 or 70 of them depending on how long I stream that day and how terrible I do at the games.  Anyway, I started putting "highlight" reels of my deaths on YouTube.  (I also do some reviews on novelty and/or relatively uncommon sodas, so some of those are sprinkled in there, too.)  Anyway, enjoy my incompetence!

Played a little more of it the other day.  Was testing out streaming on the Xbox One.  (I've started doing some streaming on Twitch... not much, but it's fun.)  Anyway, I need either a new controller or to fix the one I have.  I don't like using the thumbstick for this and my d-pad has issues.  It's doing a double or triple click when I press left, so while going one direction (when pressing right on the d-pad) everything is fine, but going the other direction (pressing left) it kind of hesitates and stutters, throwing timing off and making things more difficult.

I did still get a new high score (for me) though, so it's not all bad.  Still hate that the enemies congregate at the top when you die and don't start over at the bottom like in 2000.  That seems a major flaw to me and makes recovering from a death super difficult.

One good thing about streaming is, when I do something cool, I have a record.  lol...  Got a hole in one on Mean 18 for the 7800.  (Think I called it "Mean Green" in the video... I was excited.)  Also "Wooch" is another streamer who does a lot of golf streams.

I don't think my mom has ever played a video game.
My dad played a round or two of duck hunt, but other than that, it's just Spider Solitaire on his computer.

I started off on the 2600 and arcades, so...
Yars Revenge - 2600 - Repetitive, but challenging.  First game I ever got for free.  Gotta love free games!
River Raid - 2600 - First game I ever thought I was actually good at.  Got a patch from Activision and everything!
Ms Pac Man - Arcade - The action, the sounds, the intermissions!
Dig Dug - Arcade - A favorite that I try any time I see it.
Galaga - Arcade - I remember playing this at the local Dairy Queen.  Never was great at it, but another favorite.
But after that, the NES is what really made me love video games.
Castlevania - Loved the spooky aesthetic.  Challenging gameplay.  Still remember the first time I beat it.
1943 - It took me forever to figure out how to beat the 3rd boss, and even longer to beat the game.  Cemented my love of shooters.
Super Mario Bros. - Classic platformer.  Not the first, but arguably the most influential and well known.  EVERYONE was playing this one.
Metroid - Talk about challenge.  The addition of a map would have made this quite a bit easier, but at least there was a password.  Exploration and backtracking gameplay became a huge influence on game design to this day.
And since people are posting pics.  🙂

My dad won a 2600 and several games as a grand opening door prize at a local grocery store.  We already had a 2600, so he let us pick one game to keep from the stuff he won.  I picked Yars Revenge.  I mean, actually, back then I got all my games for free because my parents bought them, but this one always felt different because even my parents didn't have to pay for it.

I have too many to count, probably...  but I'll try to break it down some...
Homemade - Fried over easy eggs, bacon, and toast.
Cereal - It changes a lot, but as for sugary cereal, Fruit Loops.  For not so sugary cereal, Raisin Bran or Rice Krispies.
    McDonald's - Egg McMuffin
Whataburger - Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Taquito with salsa or a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit
IHOP - Breakfast Sampler or Colorado Omelet with a side of grits.
Donuts - Regular glazed, but sometimes a raspberry filled

I like cilantro.  It's great on tacos and nachos and similar foods.  There's a lot of people who say it tastes like soap.  I think it's a genetic thing?  Can't remember for sure, but I think I saw something like that.

@Control Issues a whole lot of awesome classic titles on your list 👍
I love 1943 and the games in the series. It’s one of those games that I buy for all the various consoles that I own.
What’s the story on Yars Revenge? How did you get it for free?
