What? Atarilbc means the Jaguar is "the last true Atari" system, not iteration of the company name.

You got me thinking I might want to play this game greenween. I went on youtube and found a great walkthrough:

So here's how I recall it. Each player had there own section of board they started with. The goal was to travel through each player's territory to gain a bronze, silver and gold key. Once you had the keys you could attack the "Dark Tower" for an epic battle to win! You would turn the tower on, enter how many players and it mostly did the rest. On your turn you move one space in any direction then press the corresponding key on the tower You had to buy soldiers and rations for them at bazzaars. When you moved you either had an encounter where you battle Brigands and the "tower" controlled the battle in a turn based fashion, Or got lost or the plague .The tower would display everything, complete with sound effects! Dragons, Gold, what's not to love!!! There was actually even more to the game than I described, just way ahead of it's time. Electronic D&D from way back!!!

Not really. Just that the 68020 would have had more power, hopefully the jaguar wouldn't have been so screwy to write for. An ease of programming would have lead to more 3rd party vendors and hopefully more great games. We're playing the "what if" game though..
Staying on topic, the Jaguar as it was, not what I wish it had been, meant a lot to me. It's a part of my youth and the lesson of "great graphics do not correlate to great games" as that commercial would have you believe, is a lesson I'll have with me for the rest of my life.

Whoa. That sounds really cool greenween. What's the objective of the game? How does the electronic tower know what's going on in the game? I might have to get this.

It was beautiful. Up to 4 players, the "tower" was electronic and would display battle stats, etc.Random encounters, dragons, finding keys and treasure!! I found a dos version years ago, not the same but it was pretty cool.

Was that the game that looked like a pizza with Devil's Tower from Close Encounters of the Third Kind in the middle?
