Greyfox got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Halt and Catch Fire
I started watching this show and only got about three episodes in or maybe four of season one, I personally don't know what happened and why I didn't return to it, YT I suspect after all this time I'd have to start from episode one again , I think the likes of game of thrones and walking dead got in the way, followed by stranger things, but I must return to it as its a huge part of my computer growing up days and was impressed with the accuracy of the shows timeline events and computer interests, I will have to return to it at some stage.

Greyfox got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Atari ST top ten Shoot'em up
The video covers a good selection, but none that have been mentioned here, after having another bash at Armalyte , it is a little basic and ordinary for a shooter ad upon looking at its a run of the mill affair, but hey its still nostegic for me.
Your reference to Platoon and Wizball, I loved Wizball, I though Pete Johnson did a great port of it, platoon I loved for the music created by David Whittaker, the game was ridiculously hard and misdirectional. But I though Wizball was ace, but yest it didn't push the hardware but did it need too?
Yeah StarRay , blood money, Silk worm and it's sequel SWIV were brilliant, but aren't mentioned in the video above, but this is a trail video to see what works and what didn't, so I suspect to see another one, that should cover these hopefully or I might just do one myself

Very nice. I subscribed.
I'm coming at this from a little different angle...I did not have an ST back then, but I have one now. I'm always interested to know the best games to try. So I'll be taking notes from this video and any future ones, plus your list. So thank you! Keep on sharing. You've got an active listener here.

I cam across this fantastic video thanks to my friends on Twitter from a you tuber by the name "Games of Gears" this looks to be the first of many hopefully ST videos showing again how great the ST is as a games machine, highly polished production values, this guy knows how to present them.
So please show your support by giving it a watch and start a little topic on your favorite ST shooters that wheren't on the listed.
Check out the video here
For me
FTL's "Oids"
ERE's "Trauma"
Nexus Information Systems's "Hades Nebula"
Firebird's "Mr.Heli"
Thalamus 's "Armalyte - The Final Run"
All great shooters in my opinion...
Have a good one.

Greyfox got a reaction from MaximumRD in "Full" Atari Video Game t-shirts
Thanks for the interest guys, here are some of the thing I set out to do between 2008 and 2011, I think, so I hope you enjoy the tshirt fan art.

Since these I've created many more as these are quite old now and have evolved to a much better presentation and design astatic to what has been presented here by miles, I might dig out some more recent tshirt concepts, unfortunately none of these can be purchased from any store or site, as these where designs I created for myself in getting them printed , I think out of them , I've gotten 5 of them as tshirts
Thanks guys.

One thing I'd love to see in this t-shirt area is more subtlety. A polo with a tiny Pac Man or Atari symbol on the breast, for example.
I really like stuff that employs the really old box art, or arcade cabinet artwork. Your question about favorite characters is really tough, because real clear characterization didn't come around until Nintendo came along. That being said, a shirt with the various incarnations of Mario and Donkey Kong side by side would be kind of neat.

Greyfox got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Atari ST - Rise of the Demoscene on KS!
And is now successfully funded!!! This book is quite important as it details how the Atari ST demo scene turned demo makers and cracking teams in fully fledged game Devs, Their games may not of been amazing wonders to some, but they did push the hardware to what ST was capable off at the time and will include brand new insights and hopefully great information that hasn't been tapped upon before.
So while it has been now funded, they are looking into stretch goals and has still 11 days to go before the campaign ends, so it's great to announce that the book is happening and is your chance to get a hold of this first book on the Atari ST.

Thanks for that, I have no control over the content, this is completely down to Marco the author, the minimalism is purely a design of light on the eyes imagery accompanied with informative text, I myself am a whore for over doing it on the visuals with my stuff, but this is been done by a German designer, so I suspect they love things to be tight and clean, so I suspect it will be like this thought out the book, which is accessionally a bad thing, it should fit the flow of the book very well.
As regards the Irish Atari scene, hmm..I mainly remember it to be a great period of discovery of software, friendship and computer enlightenment, these were times which I'm sure many here can relate that had all of us in a specialist subject with very little people knowing what it was all about. There was a great Atari Club scene, from which all walks of life attended, those elite to the walk in of the street, nobody held any bias or meanness towards the skill sets. But for me to talk about my time with Atari would take a lot of back tripping and pulling stories together to give it in full, but I can say this I left the Atari 8-bit with over 2,000 programs lol and was at ground zero when Happy Drives and U.S.Doublers arrived, so I've lived the Atari dream lol. But thank you for your interest, I'll do it one day.
