Ninja Odyssey - NEW Platformer Game for Intellivision!
RickR replied to Justin's topic in Intellivision
WOW! I always got the impression that the INTV was capable of so much more. Imagic games tended to show a higher standard. But this one looks incredible. I like to imagine how a game this good would have been received back in 1983. Seems like Mattel should have never bothered with the "Master Component" computer add-on, the Aquarius, or any other distraction and instead focused on better games (like this) and possibly improved controllers. Same for Coleco. How much time/money/energy did they waste on the Adam instead of just making better games for ColecoVision? -
Hair grooming during self isolation.

My story: I was lucky enough to get a haircut right before this mess happened in very early Feb. For whatever reason, I asked the lady for a "2" instead of my normal "3" (which is shorter). So far, I'm in decent shape. But I think when this is over, I'll be sporting a "Gaston". Everything pulled back into a pony of some kind. My hair tends to grown out sideways....like Krusty the Clown. But I have had to trim my wife's bangs once so far. God help me, it's a lot of pressure. I think I did ok, and she says so too. -

It's fun! A very good choice and yes, perfectly appropriate. I will practice more. I love that music! And what wild sounds on the menu screen. I think you know how much I enjoy playing games I've never even tried before!

oh boy. Do I stink at this one. High score isn't worth taking a picture yet.

I've found that if I leave the Epic app up and running, it will actually notify me of the free games as they are made available. It's pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing.

I'm a gamer, not a doctor, Jim!

Thanks for posting the manual. I'm going to need a refresher on this one.

I certainly did appreciate the distraction. It's a super fun game, made even better when played amongst friends. Thanks, everyone.

I really hate that brown maze you mention, and I lose most of my lives there. There's a little jog next to the top power pellets that's super hard to navigate quickly. If you get a ghost chasing you there, it's almost certain death.
-
That's probably a much better strategy than mine. I pretty much try to clear the maze and get the fruit. Once you get up to a certain level, chasing ghosts gets way too dangerous for me. I use the tunnels a lot when I've got a swarm behind me. Eat a few dots on the other side of the maze, then go back through when they come over there. Repeat and rinse.

It can't be easy. Not to mention how critical on-line nerds can be. They'll pick on every little thing -- your voice, your physical features, or even how you play the game. It can really get you down eventually.

PS - I am done for now. Good job @kamakazi20012 and @RadioPoultry and @greenween and everyone else. These are some incredible scores! This game is so much fun. If my arm wasn't killing me, I'd definitely give it another go. I like that blue maze in my picture above a lot more than the brown one that precedes it. It has a lot less tight corners to get stuck in (and I think that's where the lag comes in).

They'll get you coming and going with food and drink at those resort hotels, that's for sure. Still, it's a really cool cup!

Don't feel bad, Justin. I rarely go into gift shops anywhere anymore. Memories live in your head, not on your fridge

My first visit to Disney World was 1992. Disneyland, 1982. As TrekMD mentioned, things have changed a lot! We were lucky enough to see the new Star Wars area at DL and ride both rides right before this pandemic started.

Looks like a shift in focus over a year ago.

I'm wearing an elbow brace today, and plan on trying once more after work. It isn't Ms. Pac Man's fault -- I overdid the weekend warrior stuff. But it sure does hurt to play.

BOOM! Here comes the mayor to shake things up.
