  1. It's way too small and has no give at all. It takes quite a bit of force to get it to register. After a while, your thumb just gets sore.
  2. 100% favorite. Sadly, it's starting to wear out due to heavy use. I need to find another. I like it because it's so tight and perfect for twitch games. The downside is the painful fire button. Games with lots of button pushing (like Asteroids, Missile Command, Yars' Revenge) can be agonizing with this joystick.
  3. 214 - Game 1/A. Ripped this score out this morning.
  4. Tip for strikes: The ball must be curving, and try to hit the front pin with the middle of the ball.
  5. You guys are bringing your "A" games. Ha ha ha....get it? "A"? Is this mic even on?
  6. 172. Game 1/A. I love this. Very challenging. A reminder to all to put your left difficulty switch on "A".
  7. And WOW, we literally have 10 patch worthy scores. Incredible!
  8. Congrats @Marco1019 for a megamaniacal high score. And congrats @Justin for a successful 14 participant challenge! I'll see you all at the Atari.io lanes. First round of pizza/beer is on me.
  9. The Fitbit Versa is $130 The Fitbit app has watch faces and apps to install. It works like the Google Play Store app. Most of the stuff is completely free. Your account is on the internet, but privacy settings currently do not allow sharing without consent.
  10. Xbox games for 25 cents each. There are actually six because Sega GT also includes Jet Set Radio.
  11. An update on my switch to a FitBit smartwatch. Remember how I said I prefer the old non-smart watches? We'll, I've converted my thinking. After a week, I've decided I really like the smart watch very much. I'm not going back. Some thoughts: Battery life - on mine is about 4 days. I just charge it at night. No issue. Changing the watch face. I love this. I can change it whenever I feel like it. I have Star Trek now. I may go Star Wars or something else later. All free. Health benefits -- I underestimated this. I've been a lot more active since I started wearing this watch. Try to get to 5000 steps per day. I feel good! Heart rate monitor. This part is pretty sweet. I figure I can print out a graph and take it to my doc appointments. My "standing heart rate" is 75. Normal for a person my age. But I'm going to try to get it lower by doing more aerobic exercises. Apps - I still don't really care about adding apps. I've turned off all notifications. Your mileage may vary, but for me, this has been a very nice change. H
  12. That one is indeed a lot nicer and that's the type I want to get when we finally decide to "cut the cord". It will be really easy because I can use the same RF splitter box that our cable uses so it will work with every outlet in the house. But I don't think @Atari 5200 Guyhas an attic. I'm pretty sure he's in an apt building which makes it harder.
  13. That is a very nice one. Good choice. I would place it on whatever south facing wall you have (even if it isn't an outer wall). Whatever south facing wall is in your TV room, as close to an outer wall as possible. Right in the middle (vertically) of the wall so you don't get blocking from the roof or floor. If you don't have south facing windows, placing it in a window will do absolutely nothing. As south as you can in your apartment is going to work best. Even if it's on a solid wall. If this doesn't work, you might look into the kind of antenna that uses the electrical wiring in the house. I've never used one like that, but in an apartment building, that may be a really nice choice. I have a similar issue as you...we live way out in the burbs about 30 miles from the broadcast towers...BUT we have a couple of mountains right in the line of sight. The only place I can get an antenna to work is in our garage, and even then, I only get about half of what we should. And final advice....the cable company should offer a very basic package with the local channels only for somewhere in the $10 - $20 per month price. I'm just throwing this out there. Also, there are internet subscription services like YouTubeTV for the same thing, but I'm not sure the cost.
  14. I can help! At that distance, you should look for an amplified antenna. I've found that the antennas that look like a large mousepad work best. Orient it so the flat side is facing south. A lot of modern windows have glass with a "low-e" coating that blocks radio signals. If you have newer windows, try putting the antenna on the wall next to the window. Same deal with screens....they also can block radio signals. It's best to us a south facing outer wall. Here's a good example of an antenna to look for. The ac adapter is for the amplifier. https://www.amazon.com/Newest-Amplified-Digital-Antenna-60-120/dp/B07K9SGXFL/ref=sr_1_8?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&keywords=TV+Antennas&qid=1642262392&s=audio-video-accessories&sr=1-8&ts_id=172665

    SkiFree

An interesting article about SkiFree is here: https://www.pcgamer.com/remembering-skifree-and-the-yeti-that-still-haunts-our-dreams/

    SkiFree

Who remembers SkiFree from the old Windows Game Packs when Windows first came out? Well, the source code has been found and compiled for our modern computers. Grab it here: https://ski.ihoc.net/#download Don't let the yeti get you!
  17. I agree completely. I spent a lot of time with Atari 8-bit "RoF" and loved it. The first time that alien jumped up, I jumped out of my skin. Sometimes I'll load up the game on Atari or C64 just to hear the music.
  18. It's in the beta stages, but look at how nice it looks! Plus, it really doesn't mess with the looks and sounds of the classic game. The developer's website with download links (there are versions for Windows/Mac/Linux) : https://www.lsdwa.com/projects/fractalus/
  19. I haven't looked in a while, but isn't it some weird voltage on the power brick for the INTV2? Like 14.8 volts or something crazy like that? If a 5200 brick works, I think I may go ahead and do that. Thanks for that tip! Oh, and aren't there two different 5200 power brick types (4 vs 2 port)? And nice to know on the Console5 fix for the power button. It's a shame that's needed. I always end up counting to 5 Mississippi's in my head and STILL get the timing wrong. I'll check that out.
  20. That's the cart that TredMD says is too tall to fit in his SKelley shell. I'm trying to do the same thing for my Spudster's Revenge but the chip on it is too tall. I wonder if anyone has made a modified cart shell that is taller.
  21. I'm so new to the platform, so I've been relying on @Sabertooth, @TrekMD, and @Justin , who have been most helpful. A secondary source of reviews that I trust is the videogamecritic website: Right now, I'm trying to avoid buying any more Jaguar carts and just wait for a GameDrive to become available.
  22. Yes. If you could measure both carts (the Kopp cart and the Spudster) so I would know the additional space needed.
  23. I'd rank them like this: Sears Tele-Games version - it has the detachable controllers. Compatible with INTV2 controllers Orig version INTV 2 You nailed it with the comparison to the Atari 2600jr. The INTV2 is smaller and looks nice. In addition to the limitations others mentioned, it also has a horrible on/off/reset combo button (truly awful), and that gigantic external power brick will cover several plugs on a power strip. BUT the detachable controllers are a huge plus. If you have the Intellivision Flashback, you can buy a converter cable and use those controllers on the Sears or INTV2. They are a big improvement! And if you get a LTO Flash (highly recommended), that eliminates the BIOS issue on INTV2 that locks out some coleco games. FYI - I have a Sears unit and also an INTV2. The INTV2 with LTO Flash (and using a Flashback controller) has become my GO-TO system for Intellivision. Mostly because it doesn't take up much space. One great thing about collecting for Intellivision in general -- the games are not expensive and plentiful. It has been a lot of fun for me.
