  1. This is the one I printed. I suppose I could try adding a piece of cardboard to the top of my Kopp cart chip and see if it still fits. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4756848
  2. Yes, and probably. Do you have specifics on the height?
  3. I 3D printed a case for mine, and it works nicely.
  4. I picked up a curiosity today - Comerica Freedom Stick, a SMS/Atari compatible wireless (infrared) controller.
  5. I can share some tips: Keep your ship towards the left edge of the screen. Thar be less bullets to dodge over there because most of the enemies move left to right. Don't move a lot. If your ship is covering the entire range of the screen, I've found you are going to get in trouble. Getting stuck on the right edge unable to move right is sure death. On those levels with the zigzag enemies, carve a path and then shoot bites from there. And it's OK to lose lives on these levels. They get replenished every 10k. DO NOT lose lives on the levels with enemies that just move left to right only. That's where you build up a stash of extra lives.
  6. It's on Tubi as well: https://tubitv.com/movies/513071/what-we-left-behind-looking-back-at-star-trek-deep-space-nine I know we watched it on some other service last year....maybe AppleTV or Netflix? I honestly can't remember. But check whatever streaming service you have, you might find it.
  7. I've seen it, and I agree -- excellent. A very good recommendation.
  8. We actually bought a couple of these from Legoland (in California) when my kids were young. They work! I honestly wanted to use one to disassemble the mini-city at the park. Instead, I decided to get in a fight with the Lego pizza guy. In any case, I can't ever go back.
  9. If only they'd have done Pac-Man right....
  10. I'm pretty sure Pac-Man is the all-time sales leader for the 2600. That one is a killer app too.
  11. According to what I've read, it was Ray Kassar who suggested the Space Invaders license/port. If so, he deserves a lot of credit. He made a lot of horrible decisions and probably wasn't the right guy to run Atari...but that one was a home run.
  12. Combat was a great game, that's for sure. But I don't think it was a killer app. If they'd have included "Air Sea Battle" as the pack in game, it would have been just as ubiquitous as Combat. Would people have bought "Combat" separately? "Indy 500" was another one that would have been a mind-blowing pack-in. Space Invaders was the true killer app. Personally speaking, I wanted a video game system prior to Space Invaders...but once Space Invaders came out, I begged mom and dad for an Atari.
  13. I picked up some movies this past weekend.
  14. Welcome! That's a really nice setup.
  15. The doubting Thomas needs a wing-tip up the wazoo.
  16. The main menu of a 2600 PlusCart.  I use "My Recently Played ROMS" the most...it lets me quickly get back to a game like MegaMania to try getting a new high score.

Good luck @RickR! I know you'll hit it out of the park

  17. Great news https://arstechnica.com/science/2022/01/remarkably-nasa-has-completed-deployment-of-the-webb-space-telescope/
  18. This is true -- the further you get, the scores seem to ramp up. I mean to say higher bonuses and such as you get further along.
