Yeah. Honestly, if I get a more conventional job someday (like in retail or fast food or something) I would probably still hang out with the guy and help him out if he needed it. But for now, I kind of need the money! 
I hope to save the vast majority of my earnings for future things like college and stuff. However, I would like to celebrate the occasion and maybe pick up a game sometime soon. I was thinking maybe Missile Command. After that, who knows! I might slowly save up for a ColecoVision or Genesis.
This also means I can finally fund my giveaway myself! I know I have been talking about doing this for a while, but I have been trying. Hopefully nobody is too upset with all of the delays.

You are so right to count your blessings.  Work does not define a person, it's that soul and character inside that does.  I have no doubt you'll land on your feet. 

I haven't played ET but from what I've heard, reading the manual is critical for success. Unfortunately, reading and following directions is a lost art(? skill?) for many people. That thing about everything you need to know you learned in kindergarten?

Yes.  Just throw ROMS on the SD card, and then pick them from a menu on the NES.  A real space saver.  

The next one on my list is one for the N64.
 

Cool! I would like to get the Jaguar Game Drive, but it's too expensive for me at the moment. SainT wants to get CD support on it as well. That is still experimental. :O)

It fits nicely.  The Pac-Man theme can be played by pushing the upper right button.  It's best described as "irritating".  I can use that to annoy others.  A+

Chicken, especially, comes out perfect every time.  I always had trouble on our gas grill.  Chicken would come out dry.  But not on the pellet grill.

@RickR I sent in my doctor's note and HR approved it a few weeks ago. The legal term is "accommodate." I just got reimbursed yesterday. It's an Uplift desk. Yep, bonus severance! 
Yes, I got a pellet smoker by Traeger. My Weber charcoal grill was on its last legs, and I was planning to replace it next year. Recently, my wife and I were at Costco and Traeger reps were there with a couple of additional models that Costco normally doesn't carry. She gave the thumbs up, so we walked out with one ($500), and multiple people in the store commented to me that I would not regret the purchase. I'm planning to cook this year's turkey with it.

The only special feature is that it plays the Pac Man theme as the alarm.  No game built in.  Still, it looks sharp, and it's special because son #2 got it for me.

@Marco1019 I was only at HBO 3 years and 9 months (I was at Microsoft for 15 and Amazon for nearly 5). Looks like they gave everyone a six-month severance pay. I feel bad for the contractors as I doubt the company gave them any kind of severance pay.
You're right. It does feel a little weird, but with the severance package and a working wife who can provide health insurance, I'm thankful for the luxury of being able to feel relieved and relaxed during this ordeal. My last day is end of next week. For the next couple of weeks, I'll probably not do much other than assembling a new smoker I got a few weeks ago, assembling a new motorized standing desk (courtesy of WarnerMedia) like the one I used in the office, and playing some games.
