Thanks you guys for all of your input. I am now a proud owner of an Atari 400 that doesn't look like it was tossed off a building. So excited to have it!
She's a beaut! I'm sure it will serve you well, those things are tough as nails.

Awesome dude, I subbed!

I honestly have no memory of either franchise as a child. Maybe none of my local stations picked it from syndication.
I loved the original Thundercats, didn't really care for the reboot. I don't know if I could recommend going out of your way to watch it. I don't know how well it stands up today, to be honest.
I have a few favorites I hope make it on the list, but I may be a bit older than your average Atari.IO user!

I can still sing that dang theme song from start to finish, and I haven't watched it in years.

One of the YouTube channels I subscribe to get those Japanese snack "loot crate" boxes every month. For some reason I find it fascinating.

You should keep "Dungeons and Dragons" too...just to keep up the letter "D" theme for good luck.
Nice finds!
Maybe even Deadly Discs!

My biggest resolution is to get back in the retro vendor game more in 2016.
I really want to get back out to doing at least 10-15 garage sales per week (a good amount in my area.)
I'm trying to improve on what was a great Retropalooza last year with a much more limited budget for stock. (see above)
I need to stop being eBay lazy, meaning I need to move some old stock on eBay and convert the proceeds to new stock.
I've got some units that need love that I have been putting off getting fixed up.
I'm also looking to improve on our performance at the next Houston Arcade Expo.
All that sounds like business goals, but they generally go hand in hand with my involvement in the hobby. Obviously, I will be growing my Intellivision collection, but I'm at a point now where I can't predict if, or when I will find the titles I need.

Well I haven't posted anything I've gotten in a while, but here's 2 lots I nabbed from ShopGoodwill.com, all for around $50 shipped.
So I definitely needed Dig-Dug, Diner, and Decathalon for my collection, but the rest are tradeable if anyone needs them.
Super excited and I'm down to 18 on my INTV list! -

I mean really?.
There's several I see on the list. Beef Wellington is really awesome, I'm a fan of many meat pies, my father even LOVES mince pies. Also, Fish and Chips is something I can't pass up if they're nice and crispy!

My mom through us a curve ball and the main dish was Mexican Cornbread, our bacon was in the cabbage and black eyed peas. It was awesome.
Here's to a great 2017!- Lost Dragon and RickR

Breakdown on differences between C64 original and the far weaker A8 conversion, detailed there.
I must say it's refreshing to hear people being so honest about how much weaker A8 conversions sadly were at times, instead of reading the kind of biased rubbish i used to read in Retro Gamer Magazine towards the end of my subscription, how A8 was holding it's own agains't the C64 towards the end.
Utter piffle as it never got the sequel and the original was given to someone struggling to learn Atari code, to convert:
Full interview with Vance Kozik here:
Interestingly he also talks of Lynx Crystal Mines and NES Hell Raiser in interview and that pretty much cements fact that as NES version was so far from finished, Lynx version despite being advertised, was never started.
Following a few links from that first article, I found this gem. This could easily have been a movie theme:

This has recently become a favorite, I thank the Atari portable for that! forgotten for many years! Just to be sure, played on the 7800 the switch should be to the left?
I play this on portable too, but when I do it has a vertical line that crosses back and forth on my screen. Not a game breaker, but annoying for sure.

THAT is very cool! Looks to be in immaculate shape for its age.

My Flashback is quickly becoming #1 just for the convenience. but I'm gonna go with the Vader as well.
I love the size and design of the Jr, but the switches are kinda funky.

We make a dish called "Hoppin' John", which has ham, bacon, and black eyed peas covered. Need to add some greens it sounds like.
I've heard about Hoppin' John, sounds like something I'd love. Nothing special for Italians on New Years?

Some of you may or may not know that in the South, there are three items one should eat every New Years Day. Greens (Cabbage, Collard, Mustard, or Turnip greens will do), Black-Eyed Peas, and ham (pork in any form will do). I think many cultures have similar traditions, but I'm only privy to the inner workings of what I grew up with.
First, lets get the obvious out of the way. Greens symbolize wealth. The reason is obvious and several cultures actually share this belief. One should always eat their greens on New Years Day if you want to be prosperous in the New Year. Here's how it's served in my neck of the woods. (cabbage pictured, flavored with plenty of bacon)
Next, we have the pork. Above you have bacon flavoring your greens, so that might do for some folks. For us, however, we grew up needing a main dish on New Years Day anyway, so there's usually a ham. Why pork? Pigs root forward when scrounging for food. Eating pig symbolizes moving forward or progressing in the New Year, so the pork is for luck. NEVER, and I mean NEVER eat chicken on New Years Day as chickens scratch backwards when scrounging up food. Looking back=bad luck. We don't want that now do we? Trust me, if a Southerner can give up fried chicken any day, it is important.
Lastly, there's the black-eyed peas which there seems to be some confusion about on the internet. Some folks seem to think the reason we have black-eyed peas is because they look like coins. What? Never heard that, nor have I seen a coin that looks like a black-eyed pea. Here's the scoop:
Black-eyed peas were brought from Africa by the slaves. Like much of their food, it quickly became a staple in Southern cuisine. During the Civil War, the Union Troops would confiscate and eat all of the crops from Southern farms. Not knowin' no better (silly Yankees) they considered Black Eyed Peas livestock feed, so they left them alone. As a result, many times that's all they had to eat. So black-eyed peas are eaten for health in the New Year. Some folks say you should eat one black-eyed pea for each day of the new year. Sounds like a LOT of peas to me, so just a helping or two will do.
(You'll notice again more bacon)
Some folks include cornbread on the list of must-haves for New Years day claiming it represents gold, but I've never heard that and as you can see we've already got wealth covered. The reason this is eaten on New Years day is simple, it goes perfect with this meal.
So there you have it folks. Maybe you learned something about our traditions in the South, maybe you knew all this already.
What about you? What are your traditions for New Years day if you have any? -
Sounds like a bad cart to me. Cleaning it usually does the trick, my unit as a kid the carts worked better when I wiggled them to a slight angle on one side (if that makes sense). Still, since that's not something you have to do with other games, that tells me its a bad cart.
Luckily RickR has one to trade I know! -
I'm debating getting a voice module and some of the voice games, but having them available on the Flashback makes it a tough purchase for me. I'll probably stick to getting more third party stuff.
If you decide to snag on, they aren't prohibitively expensive. You can usually get the module itself for 20ish, and the games aren't rare so around 10 each boxed.

Ogre Battle is a wonderful game, but I'd grab the repro...the real deal is pricey. N64 has some killer mundane titles, but being an RPG fan I found the library quite weak overall.

Pretty cool stuff! Amazing what a C-64 can do with the mighty SID chip.
