correagonzalez got a reaction from RickR in Atari I/O Retro Junk Box 10 - It's all about the junk
Looks like the box is heading for NYC! Have a few things to add from my personal collection which will make someone happy ???? was hoping to throw in a console, but don't know if there will be space, but I'll definitely try!

Junk! Juuunk! Juuuuunk!
What'd I take?
Space Dungeon, for the 5200. A very nice upgrade to what I had, which was looking a little worn. Riddle of the Sphinx, for the 2600. A *big* upgrade to the copy in my collection, which was far more faded than I'd realized. Compute!'s First Book of Atari, from 1981 -- gonna have to try typing up some of the included programs on my 1200XL sometime! Alphabet Zoo (Spinnaker) for the Atari 8-bit line -- I'm not going to start collecting 8-bit carts, I'm not going to start collecting 8-bit carts, I'm not going to... A CX-40 Atari joystick, in excellent condition. A new cassette tape! I honestly took this for the case -- I needed one for a loose Starpath cassette I have. But now I can record you a mixtape, too. Time Lord (NES) -- well, I wasn't gonna take this initially, but it was the one thing that wouldn't make it back in the box. Hmm, maybe I'll start the next RJB... Koopa shell McDonalds friction motor toy. Came in the original plastic; I opened it so the cats could chase after it. The Big Book of Hell -- as a huge early Simpsons fan (man, isn't it a shame that it ended after 9 seasons? ) I've never read any of Groening's earlier comic work. That changes now. Activision TV Games plug-and-play from Toymax -- one of the first "modern" P&P devices (2001?). I'm curious to see how the 10 games compare to the originals! Onto the next!

A handheld tetris game. Tetris being my favorite game ever i ahd to grab this and a 20 question game. You think of an object or a thing and it asks you 20 questions and tries to guess what you are thinking. I remember having one and it actually works really well.
Also are you next in line ballblazer?

correagonzalez reacted to Video 61 in Millipede - working Atari 5200 Prototype
here is my Atari 5200 Millipede prototype for your enjoyment. Asteroids part number is CX5248 and was planned for release by atari in 1984. this is an official original prototype that came out of atari and is not a reproduction game. atari had planned Millipede for the 2600, 400/800, 5200 and 7800. this was a very nice version of Millipede and was a huge improvement over 2600 Millipede. it looked just like the arcade and with the 5200 trak-ball it played just like it too. 5200 Millipede was ready to ship in 1984 with a lot of other 5200 games but Jack Tramiel took over and put the kibosh on it all. would this have been enough to entice 2600 owners to jump ship to the 5200? enjoy,
thanks,
lance

The box is back! My camera just...well it sucks, sorry guys. I was gonna edit it and make attempts at humor but the camera wouldn't cooperate. I think I at least got all but a couple of tiny items in the vid.
Thanks for everyone who joined in! Hope you enjoyed it. -

Here's what I took:
PSP games Killzone and Need For Speed Underground -- these made me say "oooooh!" as noted above. I am super pumped to try these games out. PSP Hannah Montana movies. Humor - I traded Rowsdower for most of his PSP stuff a while ago and said "I'll take it all EXCEPT Hannah Montana." Well dang, I guess I have to take em now. Now that I think about it...I need to take these on my next plane trip. Imagine...a middle aged man watching Hannah Montana on a PSP. Nothing creepy about that at all. SegaCD Mortal Kombat - comment from my son: "I'll bet it takes an hour to load". We shall see, son. We shall see. Devil May Cry for PS2 and Devil May Cry 3 for PC -- I have no idea what these are. But the "M" rating appeals to me. Since I'm so mature. And also, I needed space for more junk in the box. Homer Simpson figure. He's obviously doing a "WooHoo!" Donald Duck slidey puzzle. I may lose my temper trying to solve this. "How to Win at Super Mario Bros" booklet. I won't lie...this is probably my favorite item from the junk box. Combat cart. Because that throne made out of Combat carts ain't gonna build itself. I think I'm legally obligated to take any and all combat carts in junk boxes. Fantastic 4 plug and play. I won't lie. I didn't want this, but I couldn't fit it back in the box. Rowsdower...if you wanted it, I'll send it separately or in our next trade. I may just put it in Junk Box 10 And finally, Tomy handheld kissing game. I think I know who put this in, and I'll bet he knew who would take it. Frankly, I love these little Tomy mechanical games. On my first try, it pretty much summed up my lifetime love life:
This was one sweet junk box. Thank you guys very much. I've packed it up with what I think is good junk and it will be off to Texas and home tomorrow.
