Well, the time has come to replace my desktop computer. I have stretched its life as much as possible but no the DVD drive doesn't work, none of the USB ports work, it freezes when I try to copy and paste files... I had not realized how old this machine was! I've had it since 2011! I believe it has provided me with good service for 13 years!
So, I just ordered a new monster computer from Dell. I9 processor, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB hard in two hard drives, liquid cooling...the works. Hopefully it lasts as long as this one! LOL I did get the extended warranty for the next 4 years. The one thing I hate is having to transfer data from one computer to the other. Thankfully, most of my stuff is backed up online, so that will make it easier to restore files. But setting up programs is going to be a PITA!!!! Wish me luck!

My car is a total loss and I got my settlement valuation which met my expectations. I'm thinking of going with a certified used Ioniq 5 as it's the closest thing to Trapper Keeper on wheels that exists in today's market.
I'm going to be out test driving for the next several days. I have a rental until Monday.

I've been away for a week on vacation with very limited internet access. I've got a lot of catching up to do around here!

Hey, what's up, people? 🤷♂️🤔How's your day going?

🤔🤨Question, ever noticed on Youtube going through recent videos to watch that you are subscribed to a channel you do not recall subscribing to?

Downsizing sucks, moving sucks, packing sucks and unpacking sucks even more. Thankfully Atari.io is here to help me unwind.

Actually that's carpet in the den with a huge chair mat so I can roll around and not destroy it. The TI has become a "stealth machine"...

... of course everything is not unpacked yet, but...

Thanks. I managed to get a little bit more done today, with the celestial map and the all important foot massager. So as or now, this little corner is done... but I have more to do. 😞

Ugh! Shouldn't this be over by now? Summer can't get here fast enough. It just started sticking, and now the forecast has it snowing all night. Sigh.

Yup, this was taken of my front yard less than two minutes ago...

Micro Pinball has arrived! It took about two weeks, which was expected.
FedEX delivered it to the wrong address (the house next door). No biggie, but still. Not cool. My poor neighbor was embarrassed that I saw her in PJ's. Oops.
I'm not sure that I'll have time to open and assemble this today, but I will post here when I do.

@Sabertooth Too funny. Actually I'll probably be taking over the spare bedroom this winter. I've outgrown then den and need two rooms now. So much for my planned "downsizing"!

You know that you're old when web versions of your childhood favorites are playable on the AARP website.

That's hilarious! That could be a great business opportunity if someone designed some tabletop models that people in wheelchairs could use and went to the assisted living and/or nursing homes to sell them.

Seems like the Raspberry Pi 400 is our modern day equivalent of the Commodore 64. A capable computer for you or your kids for $99

Yeah, inkjets clog, drain your bank account with expensive ink, almost the same price/weight as gold... a huge rip-off (IMHO). If you don't use them all the time the ink can dry in the lines and ruin the printer. I went though quite literally a dozen inkjet printers before I got smart and bought a laser printer. I've had the same printer now for four or five years and it's still going strong.

A Kay-Bee ad from 1984 that is circulating on Facebook. Wouldn't it be cool to take the DeLorean time machine back to that time with a wad of cash and buy everything in sight?
