Atari 5200 Guy Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 ...Again! Only suppose to get a few inches but I believe we have had enough snow. My wife's homestate (Arizona) got snow in places that don't normally get snow. It's official...Mother Nature is PMS'ing or upset about something. Justin and StormSurge 2 Quote
Justin Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 Wow. What part of the country are you in? Quote
StormSurge Posted March 3, 2019 Report Posted March 3, 2019 I was finally able to shovel snow for the first time all winter yesterday morning (a little over 3” fell) & we’re due for some more tonight. This has been a HORRIBLE winter for a snow-lover, of which I am (I’ve never outgrown that amazing feeling of waking up to snow outside & news that school is cancelled for the day). Quote

I never out grew that feeling either. Good excuse to stay home and catch up on some gaming. StormSurge 1 Quote

Atari 5200 Guy Posted March 5, 2019 Author Report Posted March 5, 2019 We got 20" in January. A few days later a few more inches. Then sunshine. After that nothing but ice. My car was literally froze to our parking lot. Ice everywhere. We were authorized not to go anywhere until further notice. I couldn't have if I wanted to. You couldn't step outside without stepping on ice no matter what. It was bad. One of our maintenance guys slipped and fell the following morning. He suffered a fractured skull and is going through rehab right now and is said to be doing so for about another 3 weeks. So this weather has been very nasty and unusual this year for our area. That snow looks cool. Would have been better if it had actually been there for the holidays. It keeps this up the Easter bunny isn't going to have any trouble finding places to hide those eggs. StormSurge Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 Oh man, that’s horrible about your maintenance guy. Hopefully he recovers soon. Quote
Atari 5200 Guy Posted March 6, 2019 Author Report Posted March 6, 2019 We've been praying for him and the office has been taking up a collection to help his wife with trips back and forth to the town he's in for rehab. She's been making those trips daily. He was my best man at my wedding. Thanks for the kind words. StormSurge 1 Quote
