intellicolecovisonary
Someone just now paid $157.00 USD for this reproduction? cartridge. https://www.ebay.com/itm/194492544175?hash=item2d48a8b4af:g:~PsAAOSwECFhhre8 DegasElite 1 Quote ⚠️ THIS MEMBER HAS BEEN BANNED FOR THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT:https://forums.atari.io/topic/6133-my-secret-identity-is-known-as-astomiman-destroyer-of-worlds/
DegasElite
That cartridge might be a KevinMos3 hack to make it look better. I think he did that with Tank Command. He also did it with Rampage and Double Dragon. But, you would think KevinMos3 would have put his info on the label. I don't think it's authentic. I have never seen this variety before. RickR
The seller listed it with appropriate wording that indicates it may not be authentic. Good for them. But yeah, weird that it went that high. DegasElite
TrekMD
That's not the original cart. I have that game that I bought way back when. Little did I know how rare it would be. Maybe @DegasElite is right and that is the hack from KevinMos3 on a cart. Who's the seller? I ask because someone just sold a hack of Centipede into Millipede and that was not authorized. DegasElite
If it is from KevinMos3, then it should have had the Mediagenic information on it. But, it doesn't. This is a real toss-up. I know it isn't from Atari themselves. I never had heard of Atari acquiring Froggo Games, unless I missed something. It's probably a made-up label. It looks nice, though. My theory: someone found the ROM and burned it to a cart to make it a repro with his own label. Something is fishy here… Edited November 15, 2021 by DegasElite
intellicolecovisonary
Tank Command is a 65KB ROM and when I asked AtariAge back in July about having a repro cartridge made they told me that because of it's size they couldn't make one until a batch of new boards they were testing were ready and as of now they still aren't ready. I wonder what board the creators of this reproduction used in their repro that isn't available to Albert at AtariAge? DegasElite
Interesting. It would need to be a special board for sure because of the strange size of the ROM. Yeah, I wouldn't know.
intellicolecovisonary
For the paltry sum of $753.50 you too can be a proud owner of an authentic copy of Tank Command! https://www.ebay.com/itm/275029431370?hash=item400908144a:g:WHIAAOSwDy5hkxU4 TrekMD 1 Quote ⚠️ THIS MEMBER HAS BEEN BANNED FOR THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT:https://forums.atari.io/topic/6133-my-secret-identity-is-known-as-astomiman-destroyer-of-worlds/

DegasElite
It had better be in very good condition at that price.
intellicolecovisonary
While your picking up Tank Command, it would be hard to pass up this great deal on Meteorites CIB For the incredibly low price of $514.63? https://www.ebay.com/itm/175018463716?hash=item28bfe9d1e4:g:jr8AAOSwP~phjX5M Edited November 18, 2021 by intellicolecovisonary DegasElite 1 Quote ⚠️ THIS MEMBER HAS BEEN BANNED FOR THE FOLLOWING INCIDENT:https://forums.atari.io/topic/6133-my-secret-identity-is-known-as-astomiman-destroyer-of-worlds/
DegasElite
I have never seen a picture of this game before. I think I have heard of it, though. Interesting.
intellicolecovisonary
Of the 57 games in the Atari 7800 NTSC library I have 56. I even have an NTSC V61 hack of the PAL only light gun game Sentinel, but 3 games I will never own unless there's an act of God deeming it so are Tank Command and the Atari 5200 games Bounty Bob Strikes Back and Meteorites. DegasElite
I think I have every Atari NTSC A7800 release myself. It's either 56 or 57 games. Plus, I have 3rd party games for the A7800. I also have Sentinel for the A7800. I would like to get the possible NTSC version of Impossible Mission, which was hacked from PAL of course. intellicolecovisonary
intellicolecovisonary
I've been playing Possible Mission NTSC hack on my Concerto as well as Tank Command and they play flawlessly. I've played the original Impossible Mission for many many hours but I have never been skilled enough to ever get far enough into the game to get to the breaking glitch. DegasElite
Me neither. It truly is a challenge. Got to hand that to Epyx. They made great games, especially Impossible Mission.
