Developed by the 16-year-old Robert Jaeger in 1983, this Indiana Jones-style adventure also found its way onto the Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Apple II, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, IBM PC and ZX Spectrum. It was later rebooted on the Sega Master System in 1988, boasting improved visuals, sound and features. 40 years on, and Handcrafted Mystical Games is remaking the game for modern consoles and PC, and Jaeger himself is involved with the process. Furthermore, a previously unreleased complete 'Director’s Cut' of the original game will also be included. "In Montezuma’s Revenge, players may follow Pedro the explorer or his younger sister Rosita on an expedition for glory into the deadly depths of Montezuma’s tomb," reads the PR. "Overcome devious traps, face down monstrous foes, and find a path through the ruins to untold riches – and then see if you can do it again."
