  7. At this moment 35 Years ago today, on June 21, 1982, at approximately 4:30 P.M., the arcade game business fell off a cliff.

I think it started when they started charging more than a quarter for games.

      Rowsdower70

agree Rick, that didn't help at all

It also did not help that Regan tried to tax the arcades on money made from people playing the games when those businesses still had to pay for those machines.

Agreed! The ColecoVision community has been, for years, a shining example of the classic gaming community at its finest. I think Albert’s statement is deserving of everyone’s attention.

      Happy Atari Day!

  12. Tomorrow is Atari Day! It's a great chance to introduce friends & family to the World of Atari. Here's an idea: invite friends over to play some Atari games and partake in our High Score Squad!

  13. It's a little disconcerting seeing what's going with the "Coleco" brand owners cracking down on the ColecoVision community. So many tremendously talented game designers in that homebrew scene, and OpCode has been a huge inspiration...

That is the problem often when you get these IP / Copyright buyers who have little or no understanding of the current community. Out of touch with the history and long time fans of the company. I do not understand why they do not try hardware to support the very people that keep Colecovision loved and viable today.
