Best Sears memory:

I purchased my first Atari computer bundle at a Sears here in Portland.  Must have been 1984.  800XL with a disk drive and printer for $350.  I can clearly remember every moment of that transaction.  The excitement of finding the clearance bundle.  Picking out the set whose boxes looked to be in the best condition...the sales guy writing it up. 

My family still shops at Sears for clothes and stuff.  We LOVE the Land's End section, although that's leased out to them as far as I know.  It is truly a sad thing to see them go bankrupt.  But yeah, as others have mentioned, their on-line presence is horrible.  Just a jumbled mess. 

On the bright side, they out-lived Montgomery Wards by a good 20 years, and I don't think anyone could have expected that.

I think everyone knew this was coming. Seemed like the stores felt old and tired, and their website was a freaking mess. They still have good brands and products, but they need to market them better to get successful again. I don’t think they ever made the leap to the 21st century.

Poland still kicked my butt 9-3 first time I tried it.  I don't know why I picked them as an opponent. 

I'm going to try more this weekend.  I love 8-bit sports games!

One tip I would share is check out GameFAQs, there is a lot of info on lineups and play strategies. Also the consensus is Poland is the worst team in the game, so play them. :-)

So the best I've been able to do on several attempts is 10... still trying to figure out how to get more. I've only played on the Nintendo Online service on the Switch though, so I'm going to try on actual hardware this weekend to see if there's a difference.
 

I have and I love it!  Though different from the original show, they've done a good job and having David Tenant voice Scrooge has worked. 

I loved the original. I haven't seen the new one. I heard Alan Young was slated to voice Scrooge McDuck again as he had been in the video games but he sadly passed away recently.

Yes, that’s the Centipede board game! Haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll report back after I do.

So has anyone else checked out the rebooted Ducktales on Disney Channel/Disney XD? Me and my family started watching through Disney Now, and we’ve all enjoyed it so far!
 
Having stronger female characters is a welcome change to the show. I also like the voice actor they got for Scrooge. This show will never beat the original for me, but I’m enjoying the fact that it’s back for a new generation to enjoy!
