  1. Isn't it a shame, that every character of Adventure has a name, except the hero? Let us call him Quadrator! Quadrator the dragonslayer!!! May he live long! Link is tomorrow, today is Quadrator!!! Or Quadrator the Gladiator!!!
  2. Z-Tack by Bomb. I had paid 11 € for the game with box and manual. It was just a lucky day!
  3. Is he THAT old? Ähm no, that Othello guy don't have his sunny smile.
  4. Phew, really good stuff for an Atari addict!
  5. Yes, beside the BIB, there are the little rainbow and big rainbow models. I'm not sure, but somewhere out there could be a grey prototype of the 2600jr. Ahh, here it is: https://s14-eu5.ixquick.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.atarimuseum.com%2Fvideogames%2Fconsoles%2F2600%2Fwhite2600.JPG&sp=3d44ca4756e0c3a1b4b772d75f7bf707 or http://www.atarimuseum.com/videogames/consoles/2600/white2600.html
  6. Oh, in Germany, the ST was a very successful machine, used in schools, universities and offices. For example the historical faculty of the university of Mainz (btw. my alma mater) had a ST-Network until the late Nineties. My only personal encounter with a Falcon030 happened there. There wasn't the slightest hint of missunderstanding.
  7. Dear BTB, your shows had brought me to that fantastic homepage with its nice forum. I wanna thank you for that. I hope for further years with your shows.
  8. https://youtu.be/fZz5WywJ-es?t=23 Is that Lori Loughlin?
  9. The Light sixxer was my first love and so i prefer this version. . . . On the other hand, Darth Vader and Bib (black irish beauty) are so sexy.
  10. Nevertheless it's a great game. Accept the price, this title is worth every penny!
  11. I would suggest an Amiga 1200. Most of the programs work together with that model. And you several ways to modify the computer. There are new developed Turboboards and the possibility to put the mainboard in a tower case. With a cdrom you could also use the cd32-games.
  12. The Atari 8Bit misses two levels, the music is not as ingenious and it is harder to play. Another scary game is Haunted House on VCS. The horror is completly in your head, when you try to escape the ghost in a dark room with closed doors.
  13. In the 90ies i had worked with an Amiga 2000. A 030 processor was included, also 41 MB RAM, a graphiccard, two HDS and a CDROM. And yes i had used that machine for my academic studies and it does well. With the wordworth 5 text editor it was a pleasure to write. There are also other reasons to take the Amiga seriously.
  14. Hello! I recommend D2K from Electronite. Ok, it is a homebrew and it could be difficult to get a copy, but it is worth the try. Beauty and the Beast is also a funny platformer Nightstalker is a brilliant shooter. Demon Attack is a worthy challenger to Atari's Phoenix. Q*Bert is also a nice game on the Intellivision. Take a look at the AD&D Games. They are impressive for the time they were produced.
  15. Eternity is really long, especially near the end Woody Allen

  16. Thanks for all the nice comments. First of all, please excuse my worse english, i have only few chances to talk and speak, so it feels like walking on high heels. Oh, a rhyme. Ok, Mr. Ballblazer. All had started with a Atari 2600 (what else!) on Christmas 1981. My next Console was the Atari Jaguar in 1995. Later i had bought the Lynx, the 7800 and three years ago the Atari 5200, which wasn't sold in old Europe. But i also collect for Colecovision, Intellivision, Vectrex and all of Sega and Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, 3DO. I own a CD32, because it is a nice little funbringer. But you know the song: We will never forget our first love! You can get news about Return on our homepage https://www.return-magazin.de/. So far it's only in german. We try to produce an english PDF-version, but this is expensive and difficult. It's only a hobby project for the most of us and so there is no big money to earn and to invest. Btw: Please check out Sam's Journey, a new plattformer for the C64. i am sure, you will love it. It is announced for next year.
  17. Hello, i am an Atari Kid from Germany. I had gotten my first Atari 2600 on X-Mas 1981. After celebrating the Blog Shows, I was ready to become a member of Atari.io. Seeing the shows was as meeting old friends of the old golden days. I am a collector of Atari Consoles and a writer of af a german Retro-Magazine called RETURN. We write about new Software and Hardware for old Systems like Atari XL/XE 2600, Colecovision and C64. In the old day, Atari was THE anything-goes-company who had promised a utopic future for mankind. Only the sound of the word "Atari" brings back fond memories to , So i am glad to find a community which have similar feelings about Atari. For now i wish all of you a merry christmas and a happy and successfull 2017!!! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland! Martin Bay
