TrekMD reacted to ZeroPage Homebrew in Hey everyone, James from ZeroPage Homebrew here!
Hi I'm James and I've been streaming a Atari 2600 Homebrew Twitch channel called ZeroPage Homebrew for over a year now playing all the newest and classic homebrew games twice a week!
I've always had a massive interest in the Atari 2600 from the first time I played it in the early 80's and it just never stopped. It's such a unique machine that keeps on giving to this day. I also am a huge collector and player of games from all generations of consoles from Pong Systems/Channel F all the way to PS4.

I spent all of this weekend attending Florida Supercon.  It's always a fun event to attend, with plenty of actors to meet and talk with and cosplayers galore.  Here is a link to my online album:  Florida SuperCon 2019.  Below are some sample pics.  By the way, this convention is among the final set of conventions that Nichelle Nichols is doing.

I got mine as well.  Love this controller.  Well done and works very well.  I like having the ability to remove the controller component from the black holder also.

The fourth season of Enterprise is really well done once they close the mess left from the prior season.  I really feel that had the show been like that since the beginning, it would have lasted seven years.

That was that way for me, too. I saw the arcade after the A2600 version was released.

2600 Asteroids was the introduction to the game.  I actually I did not see the arcade game until after I had played the 2600 version.  I was surprised at how different the game looked.

Be sure to avoid the final episode of season 4.  It is pure trash.

Here we go....here's a few shots from the Star Trek traveling exhibit that started in Seattle in 2017, featuring the collection of Paul G. Allen.  No "Guardian on the Edge of Forever" though....dang.  I would have loved to see that.

I'm sad there's no TrekMD in sick bay, but we do get Engineer RickR in a Jeffries tube.

Oh, I remember this place.  I visited it many times!  It was awesome and it was fun with the people who were in character as Klingons, Ferengi, etc.  I was able to do the "backlot" tour of it also several months before it was closed.  I also was able to "make it so."

Thank you Eugenio! I hope you enjoy the content we have coming up!
Thank you Arlen! I always felt the crash has become something discussed and analyzed in pop culture far more now than at the time. History Channel did not mention James J. Morgan, I wish they had. It's an important point that the quality of games had gone way up with GCC's involvement. I think one of the biggest opportunities for Atari at that time was the involvement or acquisition of little dev groups like GCC. Sega and Nintendo found success with different R&D groups. Atari had was a unique place to work, but it had become a monoculture and to break out of that rut with different labs located away from Sunnyvale to embrace new groups and new ideas outside of the Atari buildings on Borregas Ave. would've been a good thing. Grass Valley and GCC are two fantastic examples of this. If Warner could've held on for another year and pioneered some of the practices we saw with Nintendo and Sega I think we would've had an even more interesting story.
