Maybe this is a little gross to say but I do this all the time. I bet a lot of people do. Am I the only one? I think it's some kind of weird leftover strand of Neanderthal in our DNA that makes us curious about our own scent. And it's weird how you can cup it in your hand and keep it there while you scoop it up to your face, like the air doesn't really escape your hand. Sorry if that's gross but we're all guilty of it at some point. Just a random thought.

Here's what Kotaku had to say, kinda snide but never the less:
Thirty [three] Years ago today, Atari had the balls to proclaim an entire day, hoping to lift its iconic Pac-Man character alongside the likes of other people who have their own day. Like, you know, Martin Luther King. And Jesus.
The fact it was only celebrated by video game fans and Atari employees for that one year says a lot about their efforts, but hey, you've got to at least commend them for thinking big with their PR.
Atari National PAC-MAN Day was minted to celebrate the home console release of the arcade classic. To Atari's credit, they actually put on a bit of a show, holding public events at certain locations with things like competitions and the chance for kids to shake hands with a man dressed in an uncomfortable Pac-Man outfit.

@Professor, yeah.. I'm just sayin there's a really dedicated group of fans who still love Rock-afire Explosion and they'll gang up on you if you're a Chuck E. Cheese fan. Seriously. I've never felt more hate or vitriol come from a fanbase like that in my life until they tore me down. I can see them reacting to this video in negative ways. I'd like to think the gorilla and the rat can just get along!

WOAH! The thumbstick DOES unscrew. I had no idea. OK, I'm raising my rating of this thing even higher. Thanks.
The Atari Lynx originally would've had this removable thumb stick too. There was a picture of it in a magazine when the Lynx was first shown before it went on sale, back in the days when Electrocop was still called Impossible Mission. You can see a remnant of this stick in the first Lynx models that had a little hole for the peg in the center of the D-Pad.

@greenween I've been catching up on all of these older threads since I'm new here, this game looks really cool. It's the epitome of early '80s toys. The way they took a traditional board game and added simple electronics and RPG elements is pretty sweet. Board games and tabletop games are underrated, families still get together around that stuff even if it's dominos or checkers!
BTW I think it's really cool they made room in this forum for stuff like comics, old movies, classic toys and tabletop games. I think there's a lot more to Atari culture than classic gaming, it's everything that was going on at the time too.

Speak and Spell was so cool! It was kinda a big deal for a baby's toy to have speech synth in 1980. I'd love to see more on this.
