I actually got wind of this nice Little group thanks to the no swear gamer. I enjoy your reviews and look forward to seeing more.

Happy Atari Day! Justin's work inspired me to make some more Atari animated gifs, of which there are far too few on the internet.

The black gunk is conductive grease that dries up and becomes non conductive over time. 

There are other versions of the story and Nolan skips past the part about him hemorrhaging CEC/PTT money into creating Sente, but Robert Brock being the largest CEC/PTT franchisee, going through the whole franchise process and then going AWOL at the last minute is absolutely true. Not just per Nolan's story, but Gene Landrum's as well as the courts.

Wow, had no idea that was the case, I was just a snotty nose kid who loved show biz and was absolutely gutted when chuck e cheese took over the scene when I was living in St. Louis. But kids don't get whet business is all about. I have to say that today's Chuck e cheese is not as cool as it was back then. The ball pit, where you hang out when your out of tokens and try to find tokens that someone else lost in there.

I'm waiting for someone with the right ideas about how you make something this big, make something better than this happen.

Since my last update, I showed what I took out of the recent Arcade USA Retro Junk Box, reviewed the Atari 7800 games Robotron 2084 & F-18 Hornet and also covered the 2600 versions of Dig Dug and Pete Rose Baseball.

 

 

 

 

Recently I reviewed the new Reaction Jaws figure, Crack'ed on the 7800, showed an Easter Egg for Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! and reviewed the Ballblazer wannabe, Space Football on the SNES.
     

This week I reviewed Kool Aid Man (2600), RealSports Baseball (7800) and Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES version, not NES)

Retro VGS is product of the year.

Comatose Curt Vendel can take a sigh of relief cuz of the attention taken away from his criminally negligent management of the Atari 7800 XM.

BTW, I laughed when the guy called his kitchen table the Retro VGS lab 
It doesn't bother me at all, but it is kinda funny that the 2 million dollar development of a system is taking place there!

I'm trying to be very level headed with this project. And actually, I may, in the near future, reveal how the Retro VGS could win me back.

I've never really said this publicly before, for the sake of avoiding unnecessary flattery, but No Swear Gamer is someone I've listened to and held in very high regard for many years. I was really happy to see him take a leading role in this community. I don't know him personally but feel like I know him through his podcasts and probably listen to him as much as anyone else. Phil has always struck me as a very humble, very genuine person. He gives opinions based on fact not hype (in my opinion this is what John Lester / Gamester81 does) and Phil has been very fair in his approach I think. To see him share some of his own trepidations about the Retro VGS make me feel a little bit more at ease with mine. I don't want to unfairly hate on something or be overly critical, yet that's how I felt about myself. Really until just now. To see Phil No Swear Gamer say "This is getting ugly" makes me feel like I'm not alone in thinking the same. And I think that's an ominous sign for Retro VGS. Just my 2c.

Let's hope they aren't. It's a cool idea and I want to root for these guys. Seems like they have no idea what they're doing though
