Is it worth the upgrade from Windows 10?

@Atari 5200 Guy. Just seeing this, well you hear different things from different people. It's for ME but then I am always on the most recent updates and Widows version, my experience on several machines has been great personally, there are the minor teething problems of any new version of Windows so if you are good on 10 there is nothing earth shattering or life changing you would notice. For me, I know it's the future of Windows so typically I jump right in, get used to it, customize and tame the OS the way I like to work etc.

Yes.  I'm happy with 10 and I've not had any issues from the OS.  For me, it's been the best Windows version I've ever used.

Maybe someday I'll make the switch to 11...but not now.

  4. Once again, happy Easter! From me and ex-porn star chocolate bunny “Mr. solid” 😜🐰

  5. Painting an image I just made 😆Here is a silly little thing. To be clear this is not intended as instructional and is nothing great, it is simply me having some fun with my iPad mini and Apple Pencil, I am still learning the program, the tools and how they all work 😀 I only leaned of the apps ability to record the process and simply wanted to test it, just a proof of concept, I even screwed up accidentally deleting my creation of good old Frankie here but thought a quick little colouring would suffice. I want to get better and comfortable enough to create something and record it from start to finish but in the meantime just wanted to share the fun I am having. 😎

  7. RE: N64 😎 I am a huge Resident Evil games fan so of course even though my first experience of it was on Playstation I simply HAD to own a original N64 cart as shown. It's just loose cart and I have not played it in years (Hope it still saves?) but it is one of only a handful of original N64 carts I still own as I use my Everdrive mostly. Still, look forward to trying it out again soon, what they achieved on a N64 cart was impressive. 😍

There is something very special about the N64, despite all the criticism.  Plugging in a cartridge and playing straight-away makes it a throwback to the oldest days of gaming.  Sweetness.

Enjoy that game and let us know how it goes.

The N64 was the last of the cartridge systems.  I have to admit that I admire that console.  It has some great games both 1st and 3rd party.  Midway supported it very well as did Rare. I have a lot of good memories on the console with the RUSH series and the Rare platformer/adventure games (Gemini, Conker, Banjo, Perfect Dark, etc.).  I could listen to the Cruis' N World theme all day long and not get tired of it.  The only aspect of the N64 I had issues with were with the controllers.  I would wear out the thumbsticks in about three months.  And it was hard for me to find aftermarket controllers that were comfortable.  It's just a neat and unique system to own with fun choices of colors, only cartridge system to make use of an expansion port (for something other than a CD-ROM), and is overall pleasing to use.  The controllers are surprisingly comfortable and easy to use and they don't cause cramps.

I've never played RE on the N64, only on PS.  I'd like to know how it stands up today.  Oh...F-Zero on the N64 is a no-brainer.  That's a must-own N64 title!

😎😉Now, I typically use my Everdrive but I have a pretty small but ok collection of original carts. I think I got most in a lot some time back, Ogre Battle 64 was sent to me from a fellow youtuber who said it was a good one. I would definitely play most of these happily though Quest 64 I have heard is not so great? Also, I am not much of a Pokemon fan in any capacity but I think it requires a separate accessory pak which I have but it is missing the Mic that plugs into it. Anyone know if I can plug any mic with a plug that fits? Maybe the mic from my Dreamcast vmu for playing Seaman? That would be a funny alternative. Of course Shadows of the Empire, Resident Evil 2 and Goldeneye are my favorites, of the rest does anyone have a favorite or even one you cannot stand? Thanks.image.jpeg.3fadf1188e2d9ccdac5568e9312c9467.jpeg

  8. Red sunrise this morning from our balcony because of the surrounding smoke due to all the surrounding BC wildfires currently going on throughout BC and the Okanagan Valley. 😛

Do you guys have an air purifier inside your apartment?  I have a couple of little desktop units in our house, and they work very well when the wildfire smoke gets really bad.  They are "HEPA" rated, but the nice thing is that the filters can just be vacuumed and re-used.  I have such terrible allergies, and those things really help in keeping the air clean.

And PS - how is your eye?

Thanks guys, the eye is better mostly but the original eye issues and source of problem still not really resolved, trying to stay calm and deal with it daily. It is frustrating.

  9. Replaced our old DELL with a ASUS budget gaming laptop so I installed Garuda Linux on the old DELL. Looks and runs great, when considering some aesthetic options I just HAD to go with these AMIGA themed login/load screens for my own nostalgic pleasure.

  10. RIP -

  12. RIP - 😢cool Canadian Denise Denise Cronenberg. We’ve learned the sad news this week that Denise Cronenberg, the sister of David Cronenberg, passed away at the age of 81 last month at Joseph Brant Hospital in Ontario, Canada.
Award-winning artist Denise Cronenberg was the costume designer on several of her little brother’s films beginning with The Fly in 1986. Denise brought her style to most of David’s movies in the years that followed, including Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch, M. Butterfly, Crash, eXistenZ, Spider, A History of Violence, Eastern Promises, Cosmopolis and Maps to the Stars.
Even prior to The Fly, Denise Cronenberg was credited as “wardrobe trainee” on Videodrome and “wardrobe mistress” on The Dead Zone, both films directed by David Cronenberg.
Cronenberg’s costume design credits also include Bless the Child, Dracula 2000, Dawn of the Dead (2004), Dead Silence, Shoot ‘Em Up, The Incredible Hulk and Resident Evil: Afterlife.
