  1. Yes it is tired to hear from young people how bad Pac-Man and Donkey Kong for the 2600 VCS are. I loved them, when I was young. I didn't know any other versions, but even my father who was a Pac-Man champion played the 2600 VCS version. 😛 Not only are they fun for what they are, but both of them are the de-facto stock video game sound effects for like 30 years. 😄
  2. Congrats! I had to make a new account some time ago or I would be celebrating with you. I got scammed out of $1 in 1999 for some Pokémon cards. 😂
  3. I'm more of a Y-Wing pilot, so cool that it has Y-Wings, A-Wings, U-Wings, and maybe B-Wings too. 😄 I wish there was one for Astromech droids. I have an incomplete BB-8 and R4 Droid build in my garage that I was making good headway on before I survived my stroke. 😒
  4. Very cool day to day minutia of Atari. 😄 Entertaining to see the culture going on through e-mails. This one reminds me of when I bought a book on coding games in C for DOS around....1994 maybe. I did not have a C compiler or have access to a C compiler. 😅 Borland and Watcom were expensive at CompUSA, so...were off limits for me. At least Petrick had engineers she could mooch off of. 😛
  5. I hope you can get it sorted out relatively easy. 🙂
  6. Hopefully nothing major, I thought too, maybe one of the caps is leaky and giving the bad voltage.
  7. Oh bummer, sorry it gives you a scrambled display. I wonder is something came loose or became unseated a bit when you moved. 🤔 Agreed though yes, the MegaSTe is a great unit. I wish I had a Falcon, but MegaSTe is the next best thing. 😛
  8. Here is another snippet talking about it.
  9. Yes from ST Format. 🙂 I don't see why it wouldn't work for the MegaSTe. I assume ST video out, has a joint video out/sync on pin 2 to make that to work. MegaSTe has a video out port IIRC, but I never used it, but I think it is RF maybe.
  10. Was poking around old ST magazines, and found this cable schematic to output composite video from the stock ST video port. Did not know this trick, and thought some of you YouTube channel guys might find it useful for recording ST games on the cheap if you hadn't heard of it either. My guess is that it would be 50HZ, rather than the 60HZ NTSC (IIRC the ST monitors are 50HZ), but not sure. Either way a modern LCD shouldn't care, same with a capture device. 😛
  11. Pretty cool, great find. 😄 Never heard of this one.
  12. Exactly! 😄 I hope more products can do this, to at least giving us the option.
  13. I agree, there is much better feeling when dealing with the physical media, but the most of people don't care they just want to play. A shame the creator and community do not want to keep it both ways.
  14. Agree, very nice. Gives me the Gyruss in space vibe.
  15. Very cool machine, I did not ever hear of this before. I hope it finds the good home. 💖
  16. I just discovered the thread here. Someone asked why they can't voting for Carrot Kingdom™, and the answer was "There was no public binary release." or something like that, which at the time there was. You just had to download from the Carrot Kingdom™ site, not from the other forum. 😛 That was kinda uncool IMO, along with the very limited list of games that do not including the rest of us. Like Peter said, no Songbird, Video61, etc. I don't keep up with the whole scene, but IMO the Venture port for 7800 that Peter and Lance did should have been way up the list! Either way, I appreciate the hard work of everyone, and love checking out what I can from everyone. 💖
  17. Oh man, thanks! I lost my Death Star owners manual years ago, and I've been wanting to address the two meter wide thermal exhaust port. The manual will definitely help me figure out how to fortify that. If not, I have a feeling it'll bite me down the road. 😄
  18. Tomorrow Wrestlemania 40!

  19. IMO, that seems to be the case for most ST ports. 😂
  20. Great collection! I wanted the original GP32 (the first machine Game Park released.) I was doing GBA development at the time, and it was attractive because it was also ARM. It was pricey though, so I never ended up getting one. 😛
  21. The one for the ST is pretty nice, but could use some tweaks.
  22. Sub, that reminds me, I used to love Silent Service when I was younger.
  23. Some of my favorites from retail: XE Mario Bros. Pole Position Boulder Dash Bruce Lee International Karate The Eidolon Bop'n Wrestle
  24. Another great read Lance. 🙂 I want to pull my hair out along with you, over those lost Mario Bros. XEs and the 400s. A shame so much good hardware thrown away over Jack's pigheadedness. 🤬 More XE Eproms is great too! A shame the one is not reading, but looking forward to your next EPROM post. :D
