  1. Love the thoughts on Toki. I've pissed and moaned enough to Vinnie in private that he knows how I feel. Well before I fired him anyway...
  2. Thanks for the side by side! Very useful. I think having affordable versions of Ninja Golf and Fatal Run is great but from what I see... I doubt it will replace the originals for hardcore collectors. Has the next wave been announced? My dream second wave would be Planet Smashers Enhanced with improved audio, Motor Psycho, and Asteroids. Why asteroids? Because it's my favorite that's why!
  3. Heeelllllooooo Atarians! It's been way too long since I updated on Atari IO and I am sorry for that. I have started to type updates in the past and just never finished them due to life. But I'm here now and if your reading this, I finally finished one! So what's happened since the last post hmm... Well... A lot! The channel is doing great, we just passed 3000 subscribers! I continue to experiment with content and some works, like this video And some doesn't work and garners a lot of hate... Like this video! And just so I don't get anybody upset here the video was intended to start a discussion about the game, granted using a negative context. I never tried anything like that before and spoilers, I probably won't do it again! Anyway I've been doing a ton of streaming because I'm currently out of work. It's kind of getting scary I haven't had a job for 3 weeks and it's not looking good. Another month and I might have to sell my games. But streaming with all the Atarians helps keep my mind off it and it's been a lot of fun. Here's some good examples I think: Ettinsoft, the developers of that game sat in for a bit with us which was so incredibly cool. Those guys are awesome! Our next one is going to be Saturday when we stream Days of Doom on the channel, thanks to a generous donation from a viewer. We also still put out a random video every Thursday, a review every Sunday and I do man vs 7800 live every Saturday morning at 11AM Eastern time, 8AM Pacific. The next game there is Dark Chambers. Anyway, I plan on putting out a bonus video for everybody early next week and then knocking out a series for patreons on the one year channel-versary. Now is the best time to become a Patreon, it would help me out a ton and help the channel grow. Head over to patreon.com/7800progamer if you can spare a few dollars a month to keep the channel going. You get exclusive audios and a few exclusive videos a month. Alright guys, I'll update again soon. Hope you all are enjoying the direction of the channel and thanks for all the support!
  4. As soon as I get my circus interstellar stuff done I'm coming back here to WIN!
  5. Sorry it might've went to spam but I'll promote it on the channel
  6. This is a great get for genx and a great question to have answered for the community! Very cool stuff! As far as the description he's 100% right about being able to talk with these people. Since my channel started and has grown to a small fraction of genx, I've been able to speak with the developer of Ninja Golf (David Dentt), the developer of Rikki and Vikki (Tailchao aka Osman) and tons of other extremely talented people from the industry. But Genx has even more of an opportunity as there are some I'd love to speak with but I don't get responses from due to the small size of my channel. I'm glad that there are other channels out there getting these interviews and this information from the developers mouths on record before they are lost forever. That's part of the reason Atari Network supports GenXGrownUp and other Atari Channels fighting the good fight!
  7. I'm sure I'm not alone here in getting the 400 mini and having no previous experience with the 8 bits. I downloaded a ROM set of 5,000 games but I don't want that many on the unit. So my question is simple; what are the must plays and what are the hidden gems on the Atari 8 bit computers? Any and all recommendations appreciated! Thank you!
  8. You can email me at 7800progamer@gmail.com that's my public email given in the description of all my videos so it's out there already
  9. Have you reached out to anybody? I can try to help promote it for you. Idk how effective it would be but I can just throw it out there on my YouTube channel and try to get more hype and involvement.
  10. Good stuff Vinnie! It's hard to come up with things to say on some of these games so I think doing a video like this makes sense and keeps it entertaining
  11. It's time for the monthly Atari Network update Atarians! First off we've reached over 2000 subscribers which is incredible to me. When I first started doing YouTube I didn't think I'd find 100 people interested enough to watch. Not so much because of the content but because I had that little faith in my own abilities. So it's incredible that so many of you have decided to subscribe and support the channel. You all rock and this is one of the most genuine and supportive communities on the internet. You guys are the reason for the Atari Networks success and the reason why I'm having so much fun doing this, so thank you all! Ok onto content! The last few videos have done very well view wise and I put out a video all about the fall of Atari after the 2600. It's mostly the 5200 that's covered but we briefly hit on stuff up to the Lynx and Jaguar! We also did our first Public Service Announcement on how to clean carts. I did more in person shots here and it was a fun experiment on the channel. I have an idea for a similar video that's much more in depth and difficult but there doesn't seem to be interest in this form of content from me. Still I think this turned out great so check it out! We were also able to finish a video we've had in the barrel for a long time! The Jaguar CD Overview went live last Thursday! And it talks about what the Jag CD is, what games you could play and what happened with the add on. Again, I think it turned out well despite fighting loads of congestion while doing it. We've done a ton of great reviews too since the last update. We took a look at Meteor Shower from Robert DeCrescenzo on the Atari 7800. Which is still available at AtariAge by the way! QOMP 2 is an incredible game stemmed from a very simple idea. But how good is it actually? Finally we looked at the Kids Controller on the Atari 2600! So yeah it's been a busy month at the Network! We also had some successful Podcast episodes and 2 Livestreams of man vs 7800. The live content is so much fun to do and interacting with you guys in the chat is the highlight for me! So please keep an eye out for the Atari Network Podcast this Friday at 730pm Eastern time 430 Pacific! Then the following week on Saturday we take on Ikari Warriors on Saturday at 11am Eastern time 8am Pacific! Can man conquer 7800 in our ongoing Livestream series, Man Vs 7800? Tomorrow we have an announcement video for a lot of stuff coming to the channel. But I'll give you guys the heads up since Atari IO is awesome. So in tomorrow's announcement and giveaway video we give out the links for our new Discord Server, our new Merch Store, and the Patreon we just launched! I also give the rules for our giveaway contest where 1 person gets their choice of any merch we offer and another person wins a 2600+ of their own! Brand new straight from Amazon! You'll have to watch the video tomorrow to enter the giveaway for a chance to get the 2600+ but I'll give you the links to everything else right here! So the merch store is below! The high score challenges will have some small prizes and a way for you guys to compete against me in Atari games. And the first piece of Patreon content goes up tomorrow! You'll get to listen to the new Atari Network theme we're working on and see some awesome new pick ups that will help grow the channel! Join Patreon below! https://www.patreon.com/7800ProGamer?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator And that's really it for now! It's been a busy month and it's only going to get bigger and better! 12. Glad to see this and Double Dragon are working now!
  13. I wonder if this fixes the double dragon ladder glitch of doom...
  14. I don't have that set up. I can try when I get some free time but I've been pretty busy lately so idk when that will be. I've never been that good with emulators but if it's download and play I'll try. I'll ask if Vinnie has it
  15. It's possible to climb up the ladders whenever I want on the 7800. I climbed the first ladder as soon as I possibly could I then scrolled forward tiny bit and climbed it again. Then I climbed the 2nd one several different times. On the 2600+ I can't climb the first ladder at all and I could eventually climb the second one but only after all the enemies were defeated. But outside of that I couldn't climb them at all.
