Testing out a controller before getting started i got 5600. Figured because I still "played" it i would post. Using OpenEMU  and a Genesis USB controller.

Will give this squad challenge a try.  Played on original NES hardware. Made it to level 6.

This one's going to take a bit of practice. I think my biggest challenge is the d-pad. I'm just not very good with the d-pad. I may need to pick up that 8bitdo arcade stick.
BTW, I'm playing on a RetroPi.

You're welcome! If you guys have trouble acquiring a ROM send me a PM. We haven't been including Nintendo ROMS in our NES and SNES Squad Challenges since Nintendo has really been cracking down. Donkey Kong for NES is common enough that it should be readily available to anybody who wants to play

Wow, after forty years, I learned that The Girl has a name 😮 Color me stupid. Thanks for posting the manual @Justin. According to Wikipedia, the character started her life with the name Lady and later changed to Pauline.

Well done, everyone! I didn't think my score would hold up, and @Marco1019 came oh so close. Asteroids was a lot of fun, and I really liked game 8️⃣A.
But even better than 🥇🏆 is the fact that I've learned to really appreciate a 2600 gaming classic. I always heard everyone rave about 2600 Asteroids over the years, but it was never a favorite of mine as a kid (disappointment with the controller experience and seeing colorful space rocks), and it stayed that way until this squad challenge. Asteroids now is the third game that I didn't like as a kid but really loved and embraced during my re-connect with the 2600 as an adult.

Indeed, this one was a lot of fun. I was hoping for a podium finish & didn't expect to score as high as I did. H/T to @socrates63 for claiming the top spot!

Congratulations to @socrates63 on an outstanding score! Socrates secured the top spot on in our Ultimate Asteroids Final Standings with his score of 46,850 points! @Marco1019 had a tremendous showing and was just 40 points off socrates' tail, taking 2nd Place with a score of 46,810 points! I took 3rd Place with a score of 38,580 points. We had a tremendous turnout for our Ultimate Asteroids Squad Challenge! One of our best Squad Challenges in recent history! @RickR @Dinobot711 @chas10e @HDN @GRay Defender @Gianna @TrekMD @Sabertooth @btbfilms76 and @Atari Creep all showed up with terrific scores.

Still coming in hot! This game is a lot more fun on Game 8 after playing on Game 1 for my entire life. Those tiny UFOs can get nasty too!
