There are also XEGS and ST computer ports of "Crystal Castles." I have three Atari home versions of "Crystal Castles." I have them for A2600, XEGS, and ST. The ST computer version looks the best out of the three, but HDN is right about one thing. To experience it the best way possible, experience it on the arcade. The arcade is also extremely difficult to play. It is the most difficult of the versions of the game, but definitely very well programmed and fun.

Well, the Jaguar emulation isn't on there yet. They are working on it and it is in development. From what I understand, anyway. It should come, but the Jag is a beast to emulate, literally. I have VJ for Mac. It's fast enough, but the sound suffers. Sometimes, depending on the system, it gets a little choppy. Its complicated chipset is hard to emulate, and that is saying a good thing about the Jaguar because it is so well built as an early RISC machine on the inside. Emulation is a different story, though.

I wonder, being an OpenEMU guy myself, if they can master Jaguar game emulation on it. I think that they are working on it. Great emulator otherwise. :O)

My sister has been teaching herself to play piano. She watches Synthesia videos on YouTube to teach herself how to play virtually anything she wants. She just pulls up a video on her tablet (mostly Zelda and Animal Crossing stuff) and puts that above the keys where sheet music usually goes. The videos themselves remind me a lot of Guitar Hero but for pianos. I have tried using them, but my brain can't concentrate on so much at once. That's why I like playing the guitar; all I have to do is remember the chords.

I would like to learn piano. I have the fingers for it. Honestly, I never learned to play the piano, but I might want to someday. Just wishful thinking, of course. :O)

Can the XE systems be reinforced by re-soldering the components so they have a stronger hold in the sockets? I didn't know that about the XE/GS. Interesting.

I received my first and brand new A7800 around Christmas 1987. I hugged the thing. I was upset because I thought it was not there. But, my parents hid it behind the stereo. Funny. I was pleased, though. :O)

    I like for breakfast:
    Scrambled eggs and bacon
Quiche (at times), or egg bake
    Toast with peanut butter
That would be about it, really.

I have been to Giordano's Pizza, Pizzeria Uno, the ESPN Zone, and Buca di Beppo in Downtown Chicago. It was a fun time there. :O)

It is quite apparent. It looks more like the 7800 than the 5200 to me (probably because they were being marketed simultaneously). Personally the Junior looks a bit too flat to me and it looks a bit strange compared to the other two with its switches. I didn't know there were multiple variations of the Junior.

Yup. Short and Long Rainbow versions. The Short Rainbow was manufactured first, I believe.

Yeah. I used to have an A2600 Darth Vader as well. I don't remember what happened to that system. But, that is gone, too. Unfortunately. Here are the A2600 systems I want to find:
    Heavy Sixer
    Light Sixer
    Darth Vader
    A2600 Jr Long Rainbow
Those variations of that system would be happy campers in my Atari collection. Let me tell you. :O)
They only redesigned the A2600 as the Junior to make it look like the A5200 and A7800. That's what I noticed anyway and it seems pretty obvious.

Wow, I turn around to go see @James Campbell Jr.'s Spider Fighter stream and this thread is blowing up!
@TrekMD That's a cool TV. I've never seen one like that before. Both of my 12 inch CRTs have spent time in UW Stevens Point.
@DegasElite sorry about your stolen 2600. A2600Jr. is either really ugly or super cool to me, depending on my mood. I am a Vader fan, personally.

I also received my first A2600 in 1982. My mother bought it from her sister for about $130.00 in 1982 dollar figures. It's gone now, probably stolen, but I have an A2600 Jr Short Rainbow that still works. It's a lot of fun even to this very day.
