Would definitely like to mix it up between stages so hopefully there will be a ton of real enemies outside of bigger fish that eat you like: eel, shark, jellyfish, octopus, and maybe a water dragon...

Hey, Clint, will there be an enemy component to it as well? For instance, you can have sharks in there, too. Just a thought. Thanks.

Appreciate the feedback. Thankfully I have a very fast machine for rendering images and since the resolution is so low on the Jaguar anyways, that certainly helps cut back on required time as well. Hopefully after I fix a few things and add a wave of 25-35 fish per wave, I can have a single level playable preview/demo for everyone to try out after the holidays.

It wouldn't have fared better. Not under Lore design. They seemed to be another grab the money and slop something together crew.

I don't think that saying a company or individual unrelated to Atari making this is at all wrong, it's fact. Atari themselves are absolutely not making this.

Thus, leads most to the idea of wanting to milk the Atari name with this device because it can also doesn't seem false. We've known about this thing for what... 6 months now at least and not a single exclusive game (or otherwise for that matter) has been mentioned or shown on it? Then, a single joystick with single button is then displayed but with no further information as to if this is going to be the sole controller with the unit or if it's going to cost additional and even so, outside of the Atari classics which you can get in multiple variants on multiple platforms, what is that going to be used for?

I still can't get over the fact that they were going to take $300 pre-orders on this thing merely a week before Christmas. As Skylar best said it: "Ouch!"

I've always thought that the Jag could have done more with Wolf 3D style raycasted games like this. Looking good! Just wonder if he could get the same frame rate full screen

Yes. They did. Especially for the ColecoVision. I had like three single cartridges for the Coleco from Xonox. I gave up the Coleco collection so I could concentrate on Atari accessories and games. Xonox was a Minnesota-based company. I find that interesting since I am from Minnesota. Small world.

That ain't long winded -- share some more!  I think we all love talking Atari stuff here.

I've got a couple of Xonox double enders too:  Ghost Manor / Spike's Peak and Artillery Duel / Chuck Norris Super Kicks.   Kind of interesting how they have different combinations of the same games.  Plus I'm pretty sure they made single game carts too.

Another A2600 game I have is the European title Pick'n Pile. It is rare in the United States because it was made in the European Union. In fact, it was made in Germany. It was created by UbiSoft, the creators of Rayman and Assassin's Creed. I can barely see it on a flat-screen NTSC TV because it is a PAL game, of course. It is visible on there, but full of static from the signal. However, it is playable and in excellent condition. I got it NIB through mail order. Pretty cool addition to my collection. I have a couple of Xonox Double-Enders as well, which are Chuck Norris Superkicks/Artillery Duel and Artillery Duel/Spike's Peak. I really should be posting pictures of my video game collection, since I have at least 239 A2600 video game titles. It took me thirty-five years to get to this point in my Atari collection (from 1982 to present, at this writing). I remember my first games, which were Pac-Man and Combat (which came with the A2600 VCS my family purchased from my aunt, of course). The A2600 console was only $129.99 in 1982. Now, the same system may be worth more. I still have an A2600 Short Rainbow and an A2600 Jr. Sorry for being long-winded, but I love talking Atari stuff.

I will get pictures up soon of my collection, to show and tell. Thanks for letting me share.

Just finished eating breakfast on our cape cod vacation and saw an interesting store (Greg's used books), figured I'd kill some time while my wife went into a shoe store. Place was very cool, other than used books they had some records, movies, board games and best of all games. Picked up these carts, all pretty rare. It's not often I find carts I dont have in the wild, especially this many. Owner was very cool also.

Here is a first look at one of our new games we are porting over to the Atari 7800. It's a work in progress. This is actually from the 7800 version we are porting.
It's Laser Blast X, it should be awesome on the 7800

Holy crap!  That's how she normally looks???  I would have never thought of her being Elvira out of costume.  She's a beautiful person either way.  Thanks for all of the scares and heartthrobs, Elvira, it's been a fun ride.

DegasElite reacted to Video 61 in Missile Command Prototype (with pam low, and pam hi) – Atari 5200
This is a demonstration of a rare prototype version of "Missile Command," for the Atari 5200(with pam low, and pam hi). It could (or could not) be a later-stage prototype because it is so close to the released edition you see today.

But, it is indicative of a possible early prototype because it has PAM labeled on the EPROM chips, both low and high.

NOTE: PAM was the code name for Atari 5200, by the way.
