In general, when you hit the print button, the computer should bring up a little window in which you choose the printer.  On that window, there should be a setting for color/black-white.

If this doesn't help, post a screen shot of the print dialogue window that comes up.

That would make sense since Ben in the AA forums from Plaion did state he was going to have the remaining stuff sent back to Plaion so yeah...makes sense.

Yeah, Mega Cat did the XP line... at least through the Atari 50 10 cart set. Atari has indicated the rest of the line was shifted to a new manufacturer. Probably Plaion.

I don't know if this is still true, but I found out that the Atari XP releases were in fact being done and handled by MegaCat Studios. I only know of them as I own several Genesis home brews they published. So I was a bit surprised when I heard they were behind the XP releases. Point is, MegaCat hadn't done anything Atari related prior to this that I'm aware of so it wouldn't have been my first thought on who to go to when getting these done.
Anyway Ben from Plaion has stated he is going to try and get some of the remaining stock turned back in and recoded with a different version that will work on the 2600+. Don't know if anything has been discussed for those that already have the game in hand though.

Looks like Atari is having some quality control issues.  This stuff should not be happening.

Yes, so again I don't know if the region it was ordered from affect which version it is. But they already knew the PAL version of the game didn't work in the 2600+ at least not on default FW so it doesn't make sense why they would have mistakenly used the PAL version in their cart releases?
I didn't order the game, but if I had, it would be very easy for me know if it was PAL or not since it wouldn't work on a stock NTSC console since the PAL would be missing the encryption code needed for the NTSC system to boot the game.

That's a real F*** Up if all are PAL. People who want to play these on OG hardware in NTSC territories are gonna be mad. There wasn't an option to select format here in the States. The report on AA comes from New Zealand

New thread on AA forums where apparently the new Food Fight cart isn't working in the 2600+. Seems it has been found that the version of the game these folks received is the PAL version and it doesn't work in the default FW on the 2600+. But it does seem to work on the latest beta experimental that allows for Pitfall II to work.
Why would the PAL version even be offered or sent? Was there an option when ordering these newer 7800 releases for which version you wanted NTSC/PAL? I mean, I guess if you plan to play the games on OG hardware it does matter but I didn't try ordering them so I wasn't sure if that was offered?
Eitherway, it seems that will have to press Plaion to get the experimental FW redone in a more friendly and multi OS manner for a more general release as others are sure to complain about Food Fight not working in their 2600+ consoles as well.

@RobertLM78 I actually made a video six years ago in the pre-ForceCOMMAND era on that cartridge.  Please don't laugh too hard at the video, it's a little dated.

It's too bad the 4A/DOS autobooting cartridge was not available back in the day, because the BBS systems running on a TI could have been "power proof".  As soon as the power comes on, the cartridge loads the batch file and executes whatever commands it finds.

ForceCOMMAND seems a bit clunky to me, and it stomped a couple images on my nanoPEB, so I like to use 4A DOS when i want a command line experience on my TI 🙂

I'm going to word this a little differently, as I have a similar feeling but a slightly different perspective.
For some of these vintage machines, I like to experience them "as they were".  What was it like to use them back in 1982?  I try to recreate that as much as possible.  It doesn't mean I need a tube TV or an SD cart solution.  A nice composite cable, upgraded joystick, and multicart are super convenient.  They make the experience easier and more pleasant.
At the same time, learning new things keeps the mind engaged and working.  But I use that gray-matter in other ways - like on upgrading a modern PC and playing modern games with my kids.  And in constant training and learning in my work, which is a field that involves constant change.

According to someone from Atari ("TrogdarRobusto") confirmed the same thing regarding the Haunted House pcbs; no Limited Edition cart pcbs can't be installed backwards b/c of the lighted plexiglass piece on the end of the cart.  He also said the issue with Crystal Castles is still being worked on, and also sent a Gravitar XP cart to Yarusso to dissect (? Didn't know there was an issue with those as well).  Someone else in this same thread mentioned they had a non-working Crystal Castles XP cart and was sent a replacement, and the replacement cart is buggy, with some levels having crystals outside of the maze area (and thus rendering you stuck on that level) or sometimes you collect all the crystals and still can't progress to the next castle.  There's also considerable RF noise on the screen.

DegasElite reacted to - Ω - in Apparently Decent -- TI Ebay Auctions
There is a beige TI-99/4A auction on Ebay that does not have a Mitsumi keyboard (a good thing) and from the adapter on the power cord it's a pretty good guess that it's not a GROM only unit.  If you are interested, you could ask for a photo of the side port.  At any rate, as of this posting it only has one bid for $34.99, shipping however is $24.50.  It appears to be in decent shape, but will need a little external cleaning.

NOTE:  If you are just getting into, or want to get into the TI, please bear in mind you'll also probably want to get a composite cable, and other things to make it usable.

A few years ago I was able to get 4A DOS programmed into an autobooting cartridge that bypassed the TI's menu screen.  Since that time another DOS was developed for the TI that does a lot of things that I don't really need or use that works well with the FinalGROM, but I've found the older cartridge shown below "works for me".  As I've gotten older the old saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it" seems to apply, and quite frankly I detest having to screw around with updates and "new" versions.  When I want to use my TI, I just want to turn it on and go.

So, this begs the question, am I the only TI'er of advancing age that now preferers simplicity in their old age?

I attempted to do the latest firmware update, I could not get it to work. I successfully did the very first one, but I can't duplicate that on the two after that. Not sure why. I guess once the official update comes out from Atari/Plaion I will try that.

Waiting for mine as well. In addition to the Gamepad, I ordered a pair of extension cables.

Btw, on one of the AA threads, they mentioned that manuals will be available for Berzerk Enhanced and Mr. Run and Jump.
