After what seems like forever, I finally procured a Concerto cart!

Maybe when they were brand new? But no, I don't recall ever having one sent to me that worked properly controller Bob on the screen. Usually he will have no issues moving right, up/down but going back to the left can be the challenge. More annoying, is that I have the game give me those control problems but then all other games played will control just fine without issue. So that is why I use BBSB as the main game to test controller calibration with.

It can be a struggle for sure. I have one of the loopback test boards and that makes adjusting the pokey trimmer MUCH easier. From there it usually works pretty well as is but on the rare occasion, it might require me to pop that game up with the top cover removed on the controller so I can manually adjust the throw of the pots internally. But if you can get a stock controller working with BBSB and Gyruss without issue, then you have about as perfectly a calibrated controller and 5200 set as you can get.

    No offense taken.

My opinion of the Jaguar is pretty open.  The hardware itself seems fine.  I didn't really notice the exposed cart connector.  And the controllers work fine for me.  They fit my hands nicely.  I think they do look a little weird with the old-style keypad.  They are a home run compared to the 5200 controllers.

I've been having fun with the few games I have, with Pinball Fantasies being my favorite so far.  Iron Soldier seems like a great one, but I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet.  For me, it's been fun to explore Atari's "last hurrah".  It seems a bit more whimper than roar.  But that's ok.  Something new for me.
It kind of reminds me of the Nintendo 64.  That's a fine system, but is it better than SNES?  No.  Not in my opinion anyway. Or Saturn vs. Genesis.  Still, it's been fun to own and try out.

BBSB is my go to test game as well for checking accuracy of CX52 controllers. I have 7 out of which only 2 play BBSB flawlessly.  Those two I painstakingly cleaned and calibrated. For me calibrating those pots was tedious and time consuming.

Fortunately for me space is not an issue. I currently have 19 game systems permanently hooked up, a Vectrex, Intellivision II, Colecovision, 5200, 7800, NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System, TurboGrafx-16, Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. My 2nd story man tower is 740 sq ft with 4 CRT TVs, a CRT VGA monitor for my Dreamcast and a modern LED flat sceen for my PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

I'm largely in the same mindset. However, that doesn't mean I still don't end up getting a physical copy of a game at some point in time. For me flashcarts have mainly been a tool for me to use so that I can check out games before I buy them to determine if I really want to plunk down the coin needed to get a physical copy of the game. I don't think any of my flash carts really have a complete library on them except for perhaps my VecMulti, Dragonfly, and AgaCarts as they all came preloaded with the entire library at the time on them. But most of my flash carts are used to play WIP games or demos that you can't really get in physical form. Or to play fan translated versions of games never released here in the states. Even then, I usually buy a physical of the game. Such was he case with my actual Saturn purchases of both Policenauts and Grandia. I play them translated through my systems, but own the actual games too.
BBSB is a really fun game, but I honestly suck at it. I can get through the first level easy, but I've yet to complete the second level ever LOL! I mainly use that game on my AtariMax to help test controller calibration with stock CX52s.

Here's the actual eBay auction, $570 for the cartridge and poster, no box. https://www.ebay.com/itm/144265269141?hash=item2196e14f95:g:b98AAOSw73phecv5

Yes, the Force is strong, but it all comes down to space, and the realization that even the space I have now will get even smaller in the not too distant future.

I bought my first TG-16 from Toys-R-Us when it was closing out in 1993 for $20 brand new. I always regretted that I sold it at a garage sale I had when I moved to Oregon in 1998. Finally after 23 years I have replaced it along with a TurboTap and 2 Turbosticks! I have an Everdrive Flash cart on it's way as well.

I have 3 Wico 5200 joysticks and 2 y cables but no Wico keypad...yet. I did recently score this Competion Pro 5200 for $59.99 shipping included though. The seller erroneously had it listed for the Amiga.

The RetroGameBoyz stick is very nice right out of the box indeed, but mine is even better after I modded it with a rubber coated ball top, an authentic Sanwa JLF joystick and more real estate.

Yep, I've been after these for some time.  Even though I have the RetroGameBoyz controller, I still wanted to get the Wico joystick and keypad.

Finding a Wico 5200 keypad is near impossible in the wild and a rare thing even on eBay.

I also just bought all this Atari 5200 stuff from the Salvation Army for $67 shipping included. The description says that the 5200 powers on but they have no game to test it with. I have a feeling it is working. Included are 2 CX52s, a Wico 5200 controller plus a powersupply!
