Objective
Play for the quickest possible time using the difficulty settings defined in the challenge. Post a photo or YouTube video of your score in this thread. Scores must be achieved between July 1st and July 31st, 2022. Screen captures are not allowed as they are more easily manipulated for falsified scores. Multiple submissions are permitted. The player with the highest score at the end of the competition is the victor!

This is a Club Evercade Exclusive Challenge. All Club Evercade players are welcome!
 
Play Rules
Games may be played on real Evercade hardware of your choice, including Evercade Handheld, VS, and EXP systems. Enhancements, rewinds and hacked versions of this game are not allowed.
 
Difficulty Level
We will be playing the classic NES Burgertime on Data East Collection 1 using default settings. 
 
Fair Play
Your integrity is everything. Players should play fairly, be honest, and have fun! Falsified scores will result in your immediate removal from the site. It goes without saying that we will not allow cheats, hacks, cartridge frying, enhancements, rewinds, deceitful photo manipulation, subterfuge, or any other unfair advantage. Everybody hates a cheater.

Welcome to our first Club Evercade Squad Challenge! For this challenge we're partying it up celebrating 4th of July and summer cookouts with the greatest burger flippin' game ever, Burgertime! We will be playing the classic NES Burgertime on Data East Collection 1 using default settings. Please reference your instruction manual included with the purchase of your Evercade cartridge for detailed game instructions. This is going to be RAD!

They are releasing a new handheld model, so the older one is likley going to be cheaper.  The VS is really cool because you can have two carts in at the same time.  Not sure if there are any deals for it now but I will keep an eye out.

I don't yet have an Evercade.  You all please let me know if you see any good deals come up for one.  I'm very interested in the platform.

Would like to welcome new member @MalakZeroto the club. Appreciate having you here. 

Great job @Joeand also @E. Kingfor pushing at the end!  And thank you @Sabertoothfor hosting.  This was a super fun game and I'm so happy that I purchased it.  I tried playing several rounds last night, but topped out at 11k. 
 

Another poor showing.  Hopefully Breakout will be better.

Congratulations to @Joe our returning, FOUR time consecutive Recharged Squad Challenge Champion!  His tenacity is simply unmatched!
Joe takes 1st Place in our Final Standings with an incredible score of 48,630, making him not just our champion but FIRST PLACE in the VCS World leaderboards as of this post! @E. King came in second with a fantastic score of 28,740 while trying out multiple controller types!  I took third place with 15,940. @RickR, who has participated as a shadow player in earlier rounds, makes his first scoreboard appearance with a solid score of 13,640. @Yorkies TV, @Mockduck and @Stlrs95 all brought their best game to round out our Final Standings.  
Asteroids: Recharged is a fantastic tribute to the arcade original! I hope everyone enjoyed playing!
As the winner of this round @Joe will receive a set of Recharged Squad buttons and 4 entries in the controller giveaway! Everyone else who participated will get one entry in the giveaway!
Also, a huge thanks to @BHG_Gaming for helping to get out the word on the ClubVCS and the Recharged Squad Challenge!
