  1. Playing on Atari50… man Centipede is rough without a rollerball 😩 (not that the “expert” setting isn’t already working against me enough 😀 ) 15,625
  2. The controller design of the VS, specifically, really makes it shine! Along those same lines (pun sort of intended?), the original handheld takes my design preference over the EXP, even though I appreciate the more modern experience on the EXP, heh.
  3. Whoa!!! I had completely forgotten about Cosmic Commander's existence. Have never seen one in person, much less used one. Looks fun!!
  4. How do we capture our scores on this one? It just tells me “Game Over” At the end of my run without showing score - unless I’m missing something.
  5. Thanks for putting this on! It was a great play-through and was worthy of the hand cramps 😄
  6. Wow, the back of the box certainly does make that game look great for the 2600! All these titles appear to be in immaculate condition - nicely done!
  7. Kinda looks to be the A1UP Centipede cab, but with a joystick added in. I dig. Guessing the joystick is for the "50 classic games" part.
  8. Mail delivery today!! The delivery guy had his hands full! This neat-o hat from recent Atari.com purchase.. …a neat-o controller as I get ready to lose a few hundred hours of my life to Starfield… …and a whole stack of games purchased from a friendly Atarian! Circus has always been one of my favorites, so that’s an easy win. Basic Math and Outlaw are also very familiar experiences. The rest getting revisited here soon - playing some Human Cannonball now! Now at the point where there is no more bookshelf space for all this old cardboard - anybody have any IKEA product recommendations?? 😅
  9. Ohhh interesting I wasn’t aware there was a hack for that! Seems like it would make the game quite a bit more fun. Don’t recall ever seeing this one in arcades but I bet it’s a blast!
  10. Picked this up recently, and finally had the chance to play it a few rounds. Had a great time!
  11. Ordered it and looking forward to it - wasn't previously familiar with the franchise!
  12. Thanks! I wasn’t content with the 4 minutes you allowed me to have from before 😆
  13. Looking forward to this!!! Hadn’t heard about until Davpa mentioned it!
  14. Had a zen moment in the game. Or, perhaps the powerups were simply coming in at the right time and place? 397,371
  15. The peaches look amazing - never tried glo-havens before! There's a palisade peach truck that comes through our area in the summers, though, and after eating those, I've never bought another grocery store peach again 😀
  16. What made you want to give it a try? It's been a long time, but I was impressed with it! Unfortunately I found it guilty of one of the cardinal sins of video gaming (moves too slow) so I never got around to finishing it. If I'm reading your post correctly, sounds like you're in the same boat?
  17. Aww yeah Seaquest! I've fallen in love with that title. I've been keeping an eye out for Stargate copy. Nice pickups!!
  18. I wonder if the Super Pocket is worthy of consideration if one already owns one of the flagship handhelds. The buttons on back look pretty cramped - though, with this, I could Bubble Bobble my wait at the dentist office pretty easily!!
  19. Looks like box and cart, no manual. Based on the product pages, though, there will be digital pdf manuals for download at a later date!
  20. Ohp looks like I'm still barely hanging in the top 10. Nice score, @Sabertooth!
  21. Don't forget to mention the other version of Run and Jump!
  22. This weekend's mighty haul! Admittedly didn't keep my attention very well with the single player space station docking missions. Easy to see how later games built upon the overall game experience, though.
  23. Yesterday's mail present - I was getting so energetically into this game that the lady was rolling her eyes at me 😆. "It's just a tennis game!"
  24. Nice!! The Volleyball and Basketball variations always elicits some chortles, and the FoosPong games are some of my favorite 😀. So far haven't been successful in getting the lady of the house interested in this sort of stuff though, so single-player isn't great 😆
  25. Had a good time with Bowling yesterday evening! I'm currently reading through "Racing the Beam", and it was Robinett's comments (something to the tune of "I used a lot of what I learned in Slot Racers while making Adventure") which led me to seek out Slot Racers. It's neat, but not a great single-player experience 😅. I like to pick up the boxed copies of games before playing them, in an effort to emulate the game-buying experience of yesteryears. But I'm not interested in paying for grade-A condition, so they've been coming in all kinds of conditions. Slot Racers, for instance, looks like somebody dipped the box in vegetable oil! 😀 Between reading "Racing the Beam" and "Adventure: The Atari 2600 at the Dawn of Console Gaming", and paging through "Atari Archive Vol 1" (brought to my attention by the esteemed TrekMD), it's been very enjoyable revisiting all of these titles!
