  1. An eclectic assortment showed up yesterday! Never heard of "Commando Raid" or "Space Cavern" before. And, laugh if you must, ha, I never knew there was a second "River Raid" title, either!
  2. Great photos - thanks for taking, and thanks for sharing! Wow, Police Force pinball... that used to take many of my quarters, years ago 😄
  3. HERO-inspired, you say? Awesome! I eagerly await the day the zip code bug is eradicated 😅
  4. If I had been going, I'd buy... A copy of Aquaventure 2600 🌊
  5. Another couple recent pickups! I ended up parting with more money than usual for one of these, here - I'm sure y'all know which one 😄. After participating in the Alien Abduction VCS Club Squad Challenge, I took a liking to the game style and found myself wanting more. I don't have any history with HERO, but I'm excited to give it a shot!
  6. Haven't been let down by a recharged title yet! Looking forward to this!
  7. At least they're back (for now) to previously unreleased stuff, ha. Is this enough for you to jump back on the XP release train, pray tell?
  8. A couple more titles to add! River Raid, which needs no introduction, and Oink!
  9. Nice score!! Even my all-time best isn't 38k, ha. Centipede is one of those titles where I love, love playing it but have always sucked eggs - goodbye quarters!
  10. Thanks! Slight correction: my best score was a bit lower than that (41,891). This score challenge was something else. I had purchased/downloaded this title quite a while ago, but determined it wasn't for me after the first couple of attempts. This challenge got me back to it, and once it clicked, it was fun! And now I'm on the lookout for a copy of HERO to keep the fun going 😀
  11. Thanks for writing this up - was a fun and informative read!
  12. Heh heh heh... the first one that comes to mind, for whatever reason, is Circus Maximus for Xbox. It certainly was neither the first nor the last time where a purchase was driven by the box art, but it stands out in my memory!
  13. Picked this up the day it was available! Very much recommend. It's a relatively simple, casual, and enjoyable playthrough with plentiful Atari flavor!
  14. Looks fun - have always enjoyed grid combat games. Definitely looking forward to this one!
  15. Nice selections! Just finished Adventure, myself - was a great little read.
  16. When I first saw the cast list, I just about did a spit-take (thinking it was more live action and less animated, ha). Charlie Day as Luigi? Jack Black as Bowser? These are folks that could believably fit the roles in live action 😆
  17. Alien Abduction Atari VCS Difficulty: None High Score: 41,891 August 14, 2023
  18. From the outside looking in, this move appears to be in line with the other moves Atari is making. It's encouraging watching Atari grow and, more importantly, try.
  19. Few more purchases received recently - I've been so busy with work and other parts of life that I'm falling behind on playing through my previous receipts, much less so anything new coming in! Space Invaders and Surround certainly need no introduction. Absolute cornerstones. Frogger took a lot of my quarters in the arcade; only have minimal experience with the 2600 version. Never even heard of Dolphin before, but the giant squid on the box's back is hilarious looking already, ha. It's been so long that I don't even remember how to play Raiders of the Lost Ark. Seeking this one out was a request for a nostalgic family member. Looking forward to re-experiencing this one, for sure.
  20. Evidently the online multiplayer is a pretty good time, based on others' experiences!
  21. Pretty much agree across the board, there. I picked up the Mr Run and Jump because it was new and different; Berzerk Enhanced for much the same reason - it brought something different to the table. While I endlessly love this new Outlaw cover art (and Butcher Billy stuff in general), that's not enough to justify purchasing the same game twice. Seems kind of strange to me that the Atari.com listing for the new Outlaw states "Collectible cartridges for rare and never-released Atari games", since Outlaw is neither. Admittedly, I also wasn't on board with most of the XP line, though. Even if they all magically came back in stock, I'd still only end up with Aquaventure/Saboteur/Yars' Return - and even then, the standard editions are what I'm after. It's the new and different part! (I'll never stop kicking myself for missing out on those the first time, and sincerely hope they come back in stock someday)
