Ended up grabbing a copy of Circus Convoy - chose the Collector because I wanted the rom, too 🙂. The certificate is actually a pretty cool little addition, though!! Haven't run the firmware update on the 2600+ yet, though, so no playtime in it just yet. And, I know I posted the box earlier, but I cracked this beauty open over the holidays. And it played on the 2600+ just fine, so fine!

A couple of feeBay purchases came in since I've last posted. MC Kids was one I got a kick out of, at that time - so it's purely a nostalgia pickup, heh. And then there's this thing, which certainly needs no introduction. Was recommended by a certain other Club VCS score-chasing individual!

Picked this up last night - it's definitely a fun love letter to early FPS shooters! Plays like an old title with a fresh new skin on it. Went in with $10 expectations and am more than pleased for $10. I echo other players: If playing via controller, go into the settings and turn the sensitivity wayyyy down. Others mentioned dropping framerates, but I only really experienced those early in the levels when the maps were still loading up - otherwise it was smooth sailing!

I feel that - I can see that there are different status bars with unknown function which puzzles me! Granted, I only played a couple times so far, so I'll go look more up on it before trying again. The real sad part: Within Atari50, the button mapping controls in the "how to play" menu were all labeled for classic Missile Command, and not the virtual! Not super helpful 😅

This looks like a good pickup - specifically interested in revisiting Blaster Master and Silius. Then get to experience the others in the bundle as a bonus - that's pretty much the Evercade experience, right? Ha.

Isuzu Piazza ("Impulse" in the US). I learned about when I saw it as a background vehicle in a movie (I think it was "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure", of all places)!
-
Ha, are you making that reference tongue-in-cheek?? I wandered over the ol' Wikipedia and, yes, both the early Impulse and DeLorean (among many other famous older designs) were indeed by the same individual - Giorgetto Giugiaro. No surprise he's also responsible for the early Esprit and many Lancia designs!
-
Bought and downloaded it, but have only been able to put in a few short minutes - I like what I've seen so far, and am looking forward to playing more!!

Love that. Reminds me of a much later model Isuzu, below. Don't know why the old cheapo-italo design speaks to me the way it does, but I've always dreamt about finding one of these just to use for daily office commuting 😄

Update: Figured out the saving issue this morning. When exiting game from the main menu, the save works. I was exiting the game with the Fuji button, which was erasing all my saved progress.

Received my copy yesterday - as others have said, super high quality! Very, very cool piece to have and page through 🙂. Thanks again for sharing the fruits of your work, @Sabertooth!

Nice, Roniu's Tale! Played through some of it on the Evercade; Mega Cat makes some pretty good stuff!
-
This was one a handful of titles I picked up this weekend - and I love it! Beware through - as of the time of this writing, my copy is completely erasing all saved games when I close the game. Bummer!

"co-conspirators" 😄 PM incoming! Many thanks to you @Sabertooth for the intense initiative behind this, and of course to the wonderful collaborators within!

The intended goal of these final weeks of 2023 was to lay off the game purchasing and focus the budget on Christmas. I've failed that commitment 😆. Received a great box from @Video 61! Totally skipped out on the 7800 lineup in its heyday, so this should be interesting.

Squad Challenge - Ultimate Yars' (Atari 2600)

That's a beastly score there, @RickR !! -
Agreed, the unnecessarily manufactured scarcity makes no sense on a pre-order. And, we can hope that there will be future "cart only" versions available - I'm sure hoping that's the case with Save Mary, at least!! I regret missing that one! (like you, I also opted in on this one - I was recently considering picking up a PAL Fatal Run 2600 cart, so this preorder works out much better)
