greenween got a reaction from Justin in Squad Challenge - Dr. Mario (NES)
I was still getting some gliches as you can see with the virus guys, but everything else was fine.

greenween reacted to Gianna in Do you have any pets?
I thought this would be a nice topic for a conversation starter 😊
I have a long haired dachshund named Sally who is 7. She is very shy yet super protective. She loves going for car rides, boat rides, and getting occasional Puppacinos from Starbucks (whipped cream in a small cup). 🙂 Sally is so sweet and I don't know what I would do without her!
If you have pets, share their pics and a little about them below!

I finally got an emulator to work. I have to admit I've never cared for this game, but never really gave it a chance. After a few horrible attempts it finally started clicking and I'm really enjoying it. Buying a copy for the NES tonight! 🙂 40,400 on the pc with a PS2 controller.

Good game Gianna 🙌 It was a blast. We had new paddles arrive this week from @btbfilms76 which are nice and smooth. You played quite a game. It was a nice night

Super Breakout
Atari 2600
April 18, 2020
ROUND 1: @Justin
ROUND 2: @Gianna
ROUND 3: @Gianna
Justin and I played Super Breakout last night. We played on Game 6, which has double paddles and 2 cavities w/ extra balls. We had a lot of fun! I really enjoy this game, it's super simple and entertaining at the same time. 🙂

I'm using JNES too. I'd like to avoid an asterisk if possible. LOL

I'm doing emulation on the PC using a program called "JNES". Because I'm too lazy to go upstairs and find a real cart.
But I totally agree...join in with an emulator and play the SNES version if that doesn't work out for you.

Sounds good bud. If you run into trouble with that let me know and we'll play it by ear. I want you to be able to join in.

It's all good Justin. I'll just play an NES emulator on PS2 or the PC. 🙂

I mean...
What's the scoring like? Is everything the same? Even if this were allowed and nobody had a problem with it we'd have to put an asterisk next to the entry. It's a different ROM on a different machine.
I want @greenween to be able to play and have fun, that's what we're all about. Just friends playing.

11,800 - this one is for my older son. Let's call him RickR Son#1

greenween reacted to Atari 5200 Guy in Squad Challenge - Dr. Mario (NES)
Above is a game play of Dr.Mario on the SNES. It is essentially the same game just with better graphics and sounds.
I don't see any problem with using the SNES version. However, the challenge says NES and this is on the Super NES, a different machine. Again, I have no issues with someone using this version. I'll leave it up to @Justin and the rest of you guys to determine.

Good question! Is there a Doctor in the house? Someone to verify? Thanks!

I'll be joining in on this one in a couple of days. I do have a question. I have the Tetris/Dr. Mario cart for the SNES. I assume it's the same as the NES version, but can use emulation if there are any doubts. Can anyone verify that they are indeed the same?

Best game of Ms. Pac-Man I've ever played on the 7800...and I used a standard controller!
See? Real hardware stuff.
He he...all the Atari kids came into the out since we humans have been under lockdown 🙂 I reached the fourth maze again but this time did not notice the same lag. The game was a single game started from power up...there were no games played beforehand. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

75,610! Almost certainly my best score ever on this game!
I didn't notice any control delay issues to speak of. Here is the controller I am using. It's not perfect, but it is very clicky, so I know when I should actually be changing direction. Maybe that helps? Or maybe I'm just not as observant as you guys!

I'm glad to see the 7800 is alive and well! I wish Atari had gotten this system out sooner.

I finally have a couple of days to relax and play as many games as possible. 🙂 This is absolutely one of the best games for the 7800.
