RadioPoultry got a reaction from greenween in Squad Challenge - Cosmic Ark (Atari 2600)
Amazing score! If you want to think that holding that magic feather is what lets you fly, by all means, go ahead!
My best score so far: 3243

I just discovered a bug in this game. I was using an emulator, but I assume it also occurs using real hardware. While on the planet, when the alarm is going off, push reset. The game starts over but the alarm will continue to go off for the set duration. When the alarm stops, the meteor shower screen will also stop prematurely and you will be sent right back to planet screen again.

if you rescue the 2 beasties & make it back to the ship before the alarm you don't have to wait to shoot the meteor ....
getting past the laser beam is tricky ....thinking more luck than anything .... I was able to rescue one beastie a couple times .... the next trip with one beastie on planet I got zapped & the 2'nd beastie appeared ..... he should have stayed aboard the Cosmic Ark IMO where it was a little safer !!!

My score: 2643
I take it that 5-digit score you accidentally posted was from a different mode, greenween? 'Cause this is hard as nails! I managed through sheer luck to get both animals on the second planet.

My first time trying this kind of Cosmic Ark insanity. I couldn't get the creatures off the second planet no matter how hard I tried.
I survived for a little while, at least.

I couldn't seem to fit my Cosmic Ark cartridge in my 7800, so I've been using an emulator instead (at least until I eventually get my 2600 out). Are there difference in the slot sizes of 7800s, or is it my cartridge?

The defenses on the second planet are ridiculous. Getting through the beam seems to be a 50/50 chance each time, even when it's moving toward you.
