  1. No. It is USB only. No DB9 ports. Plus, the joystick included has special buttons to activate the virtual keyboard and reset, etc. I like the joystick included, and also got a couple of generic USB SNES pads that also perform all those functions. Another option to consider is a real C64 with something like a KungFu cart to load images.
  2. I think those Amico games (even with just paper in the box) are going to be collectors items. For a system that never came out, it sure is a topic that never dies. Anyway, TrekMD, your collection is an inspiration. We have a lot of good ones here. Nice stuff!
  3. Buy an Atari VCS 🙂 My advice would be to find a used tiny Dell desktop and use that. I've seen them sell for about $40...small form factor, Intel series 4 i3/5, and DDR3.
  4. Get a C64 mini and relive the fun! You can put whatever games you like on a USB memory stick. I think it works really well.
  5. Oh! Sorry for all the separate replies, but I also have this picture of the identical unit that I found on Facebook marketplace a few years ago. I wasn't looking to buy or anything, but it came up in my feed and I immediately knew it was the identical unit. I wondered if they had bought it at our estate sale, so I contacted the seller, but they didn't. Identical!
  6. Here it is! This is it, sitting in the garage covered in stuff, after my dad died.
  7. YES! We had one in my family too. Ours was a Zenith, and it had a turntable and AM/FM radio only. Also a built in bin to hold records. The speakers had little shutter doors that I remember playing with a lot as kid. I'll try to find a picture of it later. When I had to sell off my parents' estate, I thought very long and hard about keeping that unit. Maybe taking the old broken guts out and putting in a modern bluetooth setup. But in the end, I decided no. We just don't have room for something like that.
  8. OK, this one is extra nerdy. Honk if you remember Red Green
  9. This one came up on Facebook, and I got really excited because I remembered this and actually took advantage of the offer to get a free EA game.
  10. I wonder if Gameeye allows import of data from a spreadsheet. The idea of having it give the value would be interesting to me. Set up a notification that if any game goes over $100 in value...SELL! 🙂
  11. This is a great idea, I need to do this. I currently manually copy the file to my phone every once in while.
  12. The Star Trek cdrom has never been opened and is for win 95/98 lol
  13. I use an Excel spreadsheet with a separate tab for each system, and then a summary page that adds them all up for me. I'm guessing the cloud based apps like Gameye have a lot more features...but I was collecting before any of that existed and came up with the Excel solution then. But you are totally right, it does help buying duplicates.
  14. For the oldest era - Atari, Intellivision, Odyssey, Coleco...100%. Middle era of NES/SNES/SMS/Genesis, I'm probably 30%. And the later disc based systems....10%. Nintendo handhelds, I'm also up there around 80%. I play those a lot when traveling. The main issue is time. I work too much. And taking care of the house and family is something I gladly prioritize over gaming.
  15. Analyzing the Lost Starship: The Resurfaced Enterprise Model from 1964" from Trek World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFQlxIA5phU
  16. Not to see who has the biggest or anything, but I'm curious about how many individual games you all own. My number is 1876 (which is down by about 10% over the last couple of years). For me personally, this helps explain why I've slowed down so much on collecting and tried to focus more on playing.
  17. LOL! That was a great way to start a Friday. Thank you.
  18. A lot more info and pictures are in this message board here: https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/red-alert-lost-3-ft-tos-enterprise-found.354596/ From what I'm reading, this is indeed the real McCoy (pun intended), and the model is going to The Roddenberry Foundation.
  19. And here is more info about the model and how it went missing.
  20. The Disney+ app allows downloads? I'll have to check out that feature.
  21. And look at that seller name "storage_buyer_90". Was it found in an abandoned storage unit by someone born in 1990? I'm glad it didn't go to that a-hole "Yep!" guy on Storage Wars 🙂
  22. I meant to mention this. The auction was pulled down almost immediately. I'm fully theorizing here, but I imagine it will need to be returned to the Roddenberry estate. From all the books I've read, Gene had all the paperwork that proved Paramount had gifted this model to him. It had been loaned out to a special effects firm that was working on Phase 2, never to be seen again.
