  1. I also never had one...until we got one for kid #1 sometime around 1999 or so. A teal GBC. Anyway, once the boy got into it, I did too. I thought it was so awesome they made them backwards compatible for older games.
  2. I'm not sure where this info came from. Confirmation needed. No. I don't think we know what 7800 emulation is used. My best guess on both questions is that we don't have good info yet. And does it even matter? The VCS uses emulation for both 7800 and 2600 games. We have no idea what emulator it is...just that it works very well.
  3. Oliver Twins for Evercade. I have no idea what this is, but I got a good deal.
  4. It looks like the 200+ is now available at Costco! This pic comes from a Facebook post.
  5. This is really good to know. I've never seen anyone recreate the bug. In my own attempts, it takes forever to try, but the computer did not cheat. If the bug is real, you'd think there'd be a youtube video proving it.
  6. If I had a spare, I would! I don't, although I've had a spare in the past. Selling for fair prices to someone I know will use it is what I do. My next downsizing item for sale will be an Atari XEGS. If anyone might be interested, let me know.
  7. I saw this too. Thanks for including the file, as I was going to go looking today.
  8. As mentioned earlier in this thread, the Kopp multicart is $25 and has every official game and bunch of homebrews. "Unobtainium" is not accurate. A working Vectrex and the Kopp cart are all that is needed for loads of fun. We're talking $350 or so.
  9. Those are fantastic! All I have is that Genesis power stick conversion and a stock controller that has a repro label.
  10. $300 is affordable. Compare that (with inflation) to what it cost new. Buy one if you want one. For no reason, here's a pic of the sweet Genesis stick that has been converted for Vectrex.
  11. That's how it is with any on-line game (or game with an on-line scoreboard). Some people are experts or spend a lot of time playing. Have fun with it, but don't get discouraged by the nerds that play 24/7.
  12. Agree. More details please! I remember the 5200 kiosks. The joystick was great, EXCEPT, it wasn't quite right for the demo games they had like Super Breakout. That game was designed for a floppy stick, and the self-centering masterpiece on the kiosk made the game seem hard to control.
  13. Sept 21st!  Earth, Wind, & Fire day!  And I'm not talking about Swordquest.  CRANK IT UP!

    1. Neon Wraith

      Neon Wraith

Do you remember?  The 21st night of September.

  14. Don't watch this one while eating a snack! LOL.
  15. If you go, make sure to also go to the "Space" building, which is part of the same complex and included in admission. Since it's a separate building, a lot of people skip it. The space stuff is neat, but it also has a really good collection of helicopters.
  16. @HDN brought this one to my attention a few days ago. I think it looks like a ton of fun. I'm actually considering buying a Switch, but the price still turns me off a bit. At this time, I'm keeping my eyes out for a deal of any kind...maybe a used one or a 10% off coupon or something.
  17. Here's the thing...Colecovision or 5200 (or both) could have helped Coleco or Atari survive the crash. If they had focused all their efforts on those systems alone. Forget about Adam. Forget about 2600, 7800, XEGS. Buckle down and ride it out. Make a ton of new games. Get as much out of the hardware as possible. Release improved controllers. For Atari - improve the controllers, release the smaller footprint 5200. Release games! I absolutely believe it would have made it with focused management. One of the greatest "what-if's" in the business.
  18. I won't vote, mostly because I don't yet understand what this does or is for. That's just because I'm a very casual TI owner and use it mostly for games. However, I can appreciate how cool this is and the time it took. Bravo! Very very impressive.
  19. It does! But I'll tell you: my photo doesn't capture the sheer immensity of that plane. It is HUGE.
