  1. Who knew?

You can press "right" on the joystick to restart the game in 2600 Dragster.  🤯

All these years, I've been reaching for that reset switch!

I learned this courtesy of Ferg (of 2600 Game by Game Podcast fame)

  2. I've got a Take-n-Bake pizza in the fridge already for dinner tonight.  And not to offend anyone, but it has pineapple on it 🙂  Looking forward to eating dinner in front of the TV tonight, which we do only once in a while.

I don't know what's more blasphemous, it being a Take-n-Bake pizza or the pineapple. Jk.😉

Still coming back to this and thinking this is the perfect night 🕹️🍕

  3. TWO cartridge collections for Duke Nukem -- preorders are open now for a release before the end of this year. I don't know about you, but I'm stoked for these. More info here: https://evercade.co.uk/evercade-game-spotlight-duke-nukem-3d-total-meltdown/ One of our biggest announcements of 2023 was that Evercade will be playing host to the triumphant return of one of gaming’s most beloved action heroes: Duke Nukem. And this is no ordinary rerelease: rather than simply emulating the original MS-DOS PC versions of Duke Nukem and its sequel, we’ve built a full remastered package specifically for the Evercade platform, including numerous enhancements — plus the option to enjoy the games as they appeared back in the day. Alongside this, we’re also continuing our efforts to contribute to worldwide video game preservation efforts by providing the first ever commercial rereleases of four 32-bit Duke Nukem titles since they first hit the market in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Across two butt-kicking Evercade cartridges, there’s more than enough Duke Nukem to keep you busy for a good long while, and we’re super-excited to finally make these games available to you. Since the two Duke Nukem Collection cartridges are now available for preorder from your favourite Evercade retailers, and these are some of the biggest, most well-known games we’ve ever licensed, we thought we’d take the time to dive deep into each individual title rather than providing a simple overview of each cart.
  4. I don't think so. Thanks for that advice, I'll have to try to figure that out.
  5. I don't think I meet the requirements for the TI (I have 32k and a FlashROM), but I will give this a try on Atari 8-bit! THANKS!
  6. I think this made it even funnier. LOL. And pantaloons-head takes it way over the top into absurdity.
  7. I remember this one too! I think you might find it in Electronic Games magazine...the issues at the end of the run where they changed the name and focused more on computers. I'll page through those later to see if I can find the ad.
  8. Although eating at home isn't too bad either. Smoked applewood chicken.
  9. I need this reminder: New episodes stream on Thursdays
  10. Pretty neat! But I think there are parts missing....all the actual switches and wiring. Maybe I just missed the instructions for those.
  11. YES! Bad food or service don't deserve repeat visits. Plus, it's fun to try new things. For me, a dirty/messy dining room is a huge turn off.
  12. Worth a try, but it's sad that they can't make a decent meal. My wife and I went to Panda Express for dinner last night. I know this sounds boring, but I had a hankering for their Kung Pao (which is about as spicy as I like to go). We decided to drive to a location that's pretty far away from us (there are two that are much closer) because reasons. Location closest to us is always packed and it isn't comfortable to be in such a crowded dining room, nor is it kept that clean. Location #2 is in a mall, and it's super hard to find a decent parking space that isn't a mile away. Anyway, the Gladstone location is excellent and very large. It had a reasonably sized crowd. And it was delicious.
  13. No idea. "save state" would be a nice feature. But otherwise, the GameDrive for Jaguar has been awesome.
  14. One more thought before I shut up: I seem to recall a bunch of pushback/negativity regarding Crisp Rat (whoops, I mean Chris Pratt) doing the voice of Mario when the preview was released. IMO, he did a really good job with it. As an Italian-American, I am very glad they went away from the horrible stereotypical Mario spiel. A+ job from him and most of the other voice cast too. Don't get me wrong, in video-game sized chunks, it is fine. But a 90 minute movie of that would have been grating.
  15. I'm also in Oregon. I agree on the rain reputation. The best part of the weather here is the lack of high humidity. Welcome to this forum. I look forward to learning about your projects!
  16. Well, the Mrs and I finally watched the Super Mario Bros Movie. It was good, although a bit simplistic in plot. No matter. It's amazing the worlds and characters that Nintendo built up to fill an entire movie without having to waste time introducing characters.
  17. E2 - I agree with you, also great! Moopsy! This one pays homage to "Seinfeld" of all things!
  18. And the art is fantastic! (I'm legally required to say this for the next 90 days)
  19. SEASON 4 is out now! We watched E1, and it's a hilarious tribute to Voyager. I was forced to pause many times to explain to my wife things like "There was an episode in which Paris and Janeway evolved into those space slugs" and "Michael McKeon played a psycho clown". Anyway, A+ episode.
