  1. Listen...if we add the rest of our scores together...we just might beat rusty NSG. WE CAN DO THIS!
  2. Gauntlet thrown! We gonna have to up our game. I'm gonna need the Mtn. Dew IV injection...stat!
  3. 43? You are still young. I'll be 49 next month Playing these games makes me feel much younger. May we all live to be healthy and happy .
  4. New personal high score: 35,400. I'm using kamakazi20012's technique of letting the enemy come to me...just moving very slowly to the right.
  5. I just played a round on the flashback portable. It's pretty good! I didn't beat my high score. But it plays a lot better than I would expect.
  6. A couple of boxed Odyssey 2 games. As a side note, I have an Odyssey 2 console and a few games for sale if anyone is interested.
  7. One step at a time, NSG....one step at a time.
  8. Nice! That's the best part of these challenges is to spend some time with these games and get incrementally better at them. I'm really enjoying it. Chopper Command is a good game. No flicker. Great graphics. It puts Atari Defender to shame IMO. It's not as complex a game, but the game is just so much more polished. I'm going to switch over to real hardware for my next attempt to see if I can do better.
  9. What I've been doing is hitting reset if I can't make it to the end of level 2 without losing a chopper. The speed really ramps up starting in level 3. The Atari 2600 had it's limitations, but speed was not one of them...it can get things moving in games very quickly!
  10. Yes, and those splitting bombs of theirs are deadly.
  11. 21,100 - A little bit better. Hand cramp, going to stop for now.
  12. 15,600 is my top score so far. It's not an easy game.
  13. Similar story for me. I tried The Orville too. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but the tone feels weird. Is it a comedy? Is it Star Trek? Is it more "Galaxy Quest"? I think the tone seems to switch from scene to scene. Still, impressive effects and effort.
  14. So just plain old splitters, not switchboxes, right? Post a picture if you can, please!
  15. Let me know if anyone wants me to pick one up and ship to you.
  16. I recently found one of mine for Skiing and framed it. Yep, I earned this one by sending a photo in. I think I have one for Laser Blast too, but it hasn't turned up yet.
  17. I can check at my local stores as time permits. From what I hear, they are pretty easily available this time.
  18. Great video as usual Willie. Thanks very much for including the link to the ROMS file collection. Very handy.
  19. One of my kids bought one and loves it. Enjoy it!
  20. I have no idea on this one, but based on your prior patterns, I'm going to guess "Tomcat F14".
  21. I did not know that fact. No wonder the game stills look very similar! Kind of reminds me of "Tax Avoiders" and "Porky's", which you also let me know were done by the same programmer. Taxy McPorky was his name. Which you told me and I believed.
  22. Yes, I do the power strip (with surge suppression) and switch it off when done playing. I get the kind that has a lighted power switch, which makes it easier to remember to turn it off. The downside is that you have to leave the power strip somewhat visible, and that's kind of an ugly looking thing. But better to be safe than sorry I think.
