RickR reacted to Museum Matt in Stranger Things "Chapter One: The Vanishing of Will Byers"
I was trying to describe this series to someone today who had never seen a preview for it. I called it "The Goonies meet the Twilight Zone with E.T." I thought that was a pretty good description.

RickR reacted to Greyfox in "Full" Atari Video Game t-shirts
Thanks for the interest guys, here are some of the thing I set out to do between 2008 and 2011, I think, so I hope you enjoy the tshirt fan art.

Since these I've created many more as these are quite old now and have evolved to a much better presentation and design astatic to what has been presented here by miles, I might dig out some more recent tshirt concepts, unfortunately none of these can be purchased from any store or site, as these where designs I created for myself in getting them printed , I think out of them , I've gotten 5 of them as tshirts
Thanks guys.

RickR got a reaction from Lost Dragon in Nintendo Announces the Mini-NES, w/ 30 Classic Games
That's exactly right. There was one recently that really made my blood boil. "Everything you learned in school was wrong! Jupiter does NOT orbit the Sun." All this sensationalism because the gravitational midpoint of Jupiter and the Sun falls outside of the Sun. An insult to everyone's intelligence. And there is nothing we can do to stop the dumbing down of the country.

Because real journalism is now a rare thing. Doing a little research, spending the proper time to give accurate facts....all no longer done very much.

Well now we all have to try it. Put up a poll on what people think it tastes like!

RickR reacted to Sabertooth in Games for Trade
For your trading consideration, five 5200 commons, including: Galaxian ($3), Kangaroo ($3), Pac-Man ($3), Qbert ($5), Space Dungeon ($5). The same terms as directly above apply. All games have clean labels and are in working order. Pac-Man has a rather useless overlay intact.

I think "favorite soft drinks" will make an excellent Wed Night Chat topic! Writing this one down.

RickR reacted to Sabertooth in Games for Trade
I have a few loose Lynx games for trade (or sale): Batman Returns ($5), Blockout ($5), Ninja Gaiden ($12), Scrapyard Dog ($10), Shadow of the Beast ($10). Blockout has instructions. All games work and are in good condition. See pics below for details.
I have some stuff on my want list here: http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/895-atarilbc-want-list/?p=6437
I also would accept good condition CX-40s or the any of the following loose 2600 commons up to equivalent value: Pac-Man, Ms.Pac-Man, Centipede, Joust, Battlezone, Frogger, Q-Bert, Missile Command, Space Invaders, Asteroids, or Dig-Dug. If you want to buy any of the games, shipping will be actual cost. Free shipping if you buy them all.
I'll be posting some 5200 commons for trade later.

here's some of my favs.....
1st - Big Shot Pina Colada (Big Shot is a New Orleans soft drink company) - in my collection
2nd - Lipton Iced Tea (before they changed it to "Brisk")
3rd - Dr. Pepper Vanilla Float (available Summer 2014 & 2015 only & frozen at Taco Bell Summer 2015 only) - in my collection
I've been pushing Big Shot to bring back the Pina Colada. They haven't "shot" down the idea yet.

Coleco Gemini outdid Atari. Smaller size and much better RF quality. It must have completely enraged Atari management to have their hardware stolen like that.

Ha ha! Crystal Gravy! I'd forgotten about that one. Probably has the same effect as Colon Blow cereal.

Nope. I never had them either...they just seemed too artificial to me. But I'd try them now.
I also seem to remember that crazy colors seemed to be a fad in the 90's. Example: Purple or green ketchup.
