The all-new Missile Command Recharged got a surprise drop on the VCS yesterday. It will be launched everywhere else on November 1. Early impressions are that it is vastly superior to the original 2020 game, which was designed as a free-to-play mobile game. I love the graphics, music, missions mode, etc. It's great to see this iconic IP get the full "Recharged" treatment.

I recieved my replacements late yesterday and opened them this morning. I'm happy with the resolution. I gotta say, the quality of the new cart labels is vastly superior to the originals. If anything, this unfortunate situation should improve the QA for all subsequent XP runs. Anyway, good on Atari for making it right.

Evercade announced a partnership with Amiga. From the release: Blaze Entertainment will be able to license and publish Amiga games from multiple publishers for Evercade. Thanks for sharing the side-by-side @CrossBow . Fortunately, my originals weren't nearly that rough. It's amazing that Atari's manufacturing partner shipped anything like that out the door.

I wonder if it's Atari or their manufacturing partner that absorbed the cost of this debacle. Either way, it will surely result in improved QA/QC processes in both assembly a copy/proof approval. Also, thanks for not spoiling the bonus goodies. I'm on the West Coast so I still haven't received my SE replacements from PA.

I picked up Sierra Nevada Liquid Hoppiness IPA this afternoon. My decision was based on its passing resemblance to Hi-C Ectocooler. From Sierra Nevada: Ride the rapids of Liquid Hoppiness, flowing through canyons of hops and haze where fruity notes of pineapple, grapefruit, orange and fresh berries thrive in this juicy IPA flavorscape. Overall, it's a decent IPA and at 7.0% is worth two lagers. Personally, I prefer Ecotcooler but this isn't half bad!

The new updates to Centipede: Recharged adds three lives and finally fixes the weird controller issues that some folks were experiencing! This was the one I was looking forward to!

New bug fixes, including improved support for controls were pushed to Breakout Recharged! I'm told that even third-party spinners now work. Check out the update!

Yeah, unfortunately their e-commerce partner is having issues so we can't currently buy the game.
