For those interested in this sort of thing, here is the required mid-year report for Atari SA as of 9/30/2022. Interesting mentions of the VCS for you tea leaf readers out there.
These results are ahead of the release of Atari Mania, Missile Command Recharged and Atari50 so a lot of costs ahead of revenues. Assuming their Year End report for March won't be as bleak.

For the Hardware section, I think it means the VCS is still in production...just manufactured externally now. That's how I read it anyway.
The financial numbers are not good. I hope every gamer here who appreciates the new direction of Atari understands...WE NEED TO SUPPORT THEM as best we can by buying hardware and software. The games they've been producing have been outstanding. -
You're 💯 @RickR! The last few years have been the best output from Atari since at least the Hasbro-era, if not the Tramiel-era. Fans who appreciate the change in direction need to support the company.
The Recharged titles have been excellent and new IP like Kombinera is inventive and in the spirit of old Atari, and the VCS is a great achievement from such a small team. I understand skepticism among old skool fans, the XP debacle and crypto. That said, credit where credit is due.

I was thinking the other day, if you include the Flashback Friday titles, the modern VCS has had more official releases than the 5200, 7800, Jaguar, XEGS (labeled) and Lynx. Pretty crazy, right?

A new reimagined title from Atari and Jeff Minter: Akka Arrh!
