  1. Was able to get in and order. All three editions were available. I did have issues with my phone and desktop Firefox browser. Had to use Edge to get in. Looking forward to getting it later in the month.
  2. Well, we Atari nerds broke their servers. A second attempt is scheduled for tomorrow.
  3. You got it again @nosweargamer! Sonic R was the only original Sonic title that hit the Saturn. It has more exploration than most kart racers of the time. The soundtrack is divisive but I personally love it! 🎵Can you feel the sunshine? Does it brighten up your day?🎶
  4. Saturn Many paths to choose Does it brighten up your day To race for emeralds
  5. You got it again, @nosweargamer! I love Qix! It's such a unique game. Fun fact: Qix was developed by a husband/wife team.
  6. Multiple/Arcade Colorful segments Avoid the spark or meet death Bouncing stick ballet
  7. @nosweargamer, third time is a charm! It is indeed Fight For Life. - The game was programmed by Francois Yves Bertrand, a former member of Sega AM2 who worked on Virtua Fighter under Yu Suzuki. - There is a longheld conspiracy among Jaguar fandom that the retail version is not the final release candidate and that Bertrand withheld the final version from Atari. Bertrand has refuted this but the old rumors persist. - Instead of a ring out, the ring has an invisible electric field which electrocutes any fighter pushed into it. - The game was the last game published by Atari for the Jaguar in 1996. It is also the last game published by Atari Corps.
  8. No dice @nosweargamer! But it is a fantastic bit of software for the Jag CD. I still use mine!
  9. @nosweargamer, no, not I-War. I do love that game though. In the one genre that's overrepresented on the Jaguar, I-War is near top of that heap.
  10. You got it @nosweargamer! - The term "road rash" is slang for the severe friction burns that occur when dismounted from a motorcycle at speed. - The game (Sega CD, 3DO, PSX, SAT, PC) takes place in California. - Schmoozing at the Der Panzer Klub - the hangout for the racers - is an optional activity where you learn about other riders. This includes learning which ones are friends and which are enemies.
  11. I just beat my first VCS game! It's a title called Spear Master. The gameplay is reminiscent of Buster Bros., where you split bouncing balls in half until they are eliminated. Spear Master lacks the platform element of that game and has a one-touch death mechanic that slows progress.

The game was built with Unity and is on VCS and Steam. It was a lot of fun all around and had a lot of polish.

  13. I set a notification on my phone for Saturday. Can't wait to see what they have cooking!
  14. I got a thing...

I haven't formed any real opinions yet except that PowerA did a hell of a job with both controllers.

@Justin - So far the controllers are the most interesting thing about the hardware. The Classic Joystick works great as a paddle in 2600 games and as a rotary in Tempest arcade on the Vault. The game Thrustlander implements the rotation function wonderfully. As a normal 🕹️ it is also very nice. I've used it on Antstream for PacMan and Lock N Chase and it's been great. I'll probably do a full blog post once I spend more time with it.
