  1. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!
  2. I encourage ALL of you to sign up for Danisen League! StormSurge said it was like being a kid and having a friend over to play video games with. RickR said it's a BLAST! Come join us! http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/1216-danisen-league-sign-up/

  3. Hi Vlad, I'm happy to expand on this a bit more just to be sure this is clear. It has absolutely nothing to do with opinion or "non-positive" comments about other sites. We advocate free speech and afford greater freedom to constructively voice an opinion, even the most unpopular, than anywhere else. People should be able to say "maybe ET wasn't the worst game ever made" without descending into Lord of the Flies. This has to do with behavior. It's the positive, welcoming vibe of this community. When people think it's somehow acceptable to come into our wonderful community, drag in negative issues from other sites and immediately start complaining before they've so much as made five posts or created an avatar, it's a massive red flag. If you've been here for five posts, haven't made an avatar or joined us in the chat and are demanding an "ignore topic" button then something is wrong. If that's all you have to offer, if you can't stop complaining, then you don't belong here. We're not going to discuss it and drag it out in public. We're going to delete your account and remove you from the site without incident. When you show up to a friend's dinner party, do you track muddy shoes into the house, make yourself at home and complain about the food? Do you monopolize the conversation, or come into his home like Jackie Treehorn's goons, dunk his head in the toilet and micturate on the Dude's rug? This aggression will not stand, man. This isn't like other forums and we're not going to pretend that it is. We've tried to create a little Atari Utopia. This is a special place with truly great people. It's a relaxed community with a really good vibe. People are nice here and come to share thoughtful conversation and have fun at the end of a long day. Don't come here and complain about what happens elsewhere. It's not our problem and we don't want to hear it. We came here to get away from that level of conversation and we are going to keep that bs out of these forums. Sure! By "forceful opinion" I think what MaximumRD is trying to say here is that we're not going to allow people to act like dicks. You can express an opinion, but you cannot shove that opinion down everybody's throat like a spoiled child. Here's an example: Opinion: "Hey guys, I really enjoyed the NES. It's my favorite game system. The games were consistently great throughout it's run, it's fun to collect for, and it spawned epic franchises like Mario and Zelda that are still relevant today. I found it to be the greatest system of its generation." Forceful Opinion: "NES is the greatest console ever. PERIOD." That spoils the party for everybody. Nobody wants to be around that guy. Best advice is to JOIN US as part of this amazing community. Join us in the chat, get to know us, make friends, and I would highly suggest familiarizing your self with the House Rules here: http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/5-house-rules/
  4. That is just awesome!! Congrats on breaking 100,000 RadioPoultry!
  5. I'm waiting to see if anybody will break 100,000 points.
  6. We strongly encourage players to take the effort to post videos, but all that's required for Scoreboard is a picture. You should post your high scores Arena! Plus, your photos carry added credibility as the games were played in public at a gaming expo. That's legit! Check out the section on "Posting Photos & Videos". "A photo of your score is all that's required, but we strongly encourage recording your gameplay if you can." Complete instructions for the Scoreboard are here: http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/1213-scoreboard-how-to-post-your-score/
  7. Happy Birthday Museum Matt!

      Happy Birthday!!

  8. Please only actual photos of your scores, not screen captures. Screen captures are easily manipulated.
  9. I haven't played Greatest Hits on DS, but if it's the ORIGINAL ROM being emulated, that would qualify. If you believe it passes the "Am I playing honestly and fairly?" test then it should be good. We want to make this as easy as possible for everyone to easily participate without being complicated and without being unfair.
  10. Correct. Arenafoot, you can most certainly link to other sites if you feel you need to, though the purpose of all this is to make our site more fun. Also, please bear in mind: 1. Games must be the original games played on real hardware, dedicated console, or emulator. No hacks, cartridge frying, or cheats of any kind are allowed. 2. Scores need to be achieved between December 1st – December 15th, 2015 to qualify for this challenge. 3. Screen captures will not be accepted as they are easily manipulated. You must submit an actual photo of your TV or computer screen, or video of your gameplay. Arenafoot, you have some nice scores! I would suggest once again opening a new thread in the Scoreboard forum to post your other scores
  11. Not this time Arena. Here's why: We are playing the original ROM of Centipede. Hacked versions are not allowed as it would be an unfair advantage to others playing I hacked Centipede. We may have a Squad Challenge for hacked versions at another time. Also, scores need to be achieved between December 1st - December 15th, 2015 to qualify for this challenge. It sounds like you have some pretty good scores documented though! Why not open up a thread for Centipede TB on the Scoreboard and post your scores? Justin has two up already if you need an example. http://forums.atari.io/index.php/forum/70-scoreboard/ Have fun!
  12. We absolutely need to get that ROM released. Paperboy, RoadBlasters, and Marble Madness all should have been 7800 exclusives.
  13. It's confirmed that Paperboy was completed for the 7800?
  14. I think it's probably lost on people who don't remember it at the time just how big of a leap the Jaguar was in 1993 and how incredible the games looked when we first saw them in magazines. They were magical. I played Cybermorph for hours.
  15. Battlemorph was amazing. I don't understand the guest's trashing Battlemorph. I always liked Checkered Flag on Lynx, it was a nice way of doing Pole Position II on the Lynx and not surprised there was a Checkered Flag Lynx bundle released at one point.
