      Such a shame. RIP Champ

  6. More of these popular titles on Jaguar, if done right, would have really positioned the Jaguar as a more serious threat to SNES and Genesis
  7. We're working on an Atari I/O Open House for Atari Day, just not sure what events we'd have. Like the idea!
  8. You're in for a real treat. Ballblazer on 7800 looks and plays as good as a PlayStation 1 game!
  9. I was a huge fan of Garry Shandling, it's hard to believe he's gone http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/garry-shandling-its-great-that-garry-shandling-is-still-alive

A true high-class comedian. The Larry Sanders Show was one of the most brillant showbiz spoofs and flat out best TV shows of its time.

  10. Oh I love that you created a store! Maybe we need to pin our Member stores to the top...
  11. Well, in Atari's defense it wasn't Atari who put their name on something without bothering to google "Mike Kennedy" or "RetroVGS"...
  12. That's a beautiful monument you've built to classic gaming
  13. Blue Lightning is one of the best games of that era for any system. Play Top Gun on NES then come play Blue Lightning on Lynx and it'll knock your socks off. It was uncommon in flight games to have that ability to fly so high above the clouds and sow low to the ground, to roll the jet and spin around with so much precision. Atari used Blue Lightning as its in store retail demo at Toys R Us, Montgomery Wards, Software Etc. and other retailers using a special demo card:
  14. Also, River West Brands ("Coleco") could've provided guidance in this. They are legitimate business people. They could have introduced Mike to their bank, set benchmarks, held Mikes hand and walked him through some of these tough decisions that had to be made early on. Providing guidance and setting benchmarks would have made sure everything was legitimate and would've protected the Coleco name.
  15. I can't agree. "Coleco" is just a brand name owned by a hedge fund manager to make money. "Coleco" doesn't have manufacturing, employees, it doesn't exist as a real business, just the name that River West Brands owns. I love the original ColecoVision and agree with you that I would love to see new quality Coleco products come out. Coleco should have been much more vigilant in doing their due diligence, they should have known exactly what RetroVGS had developed, set benchmarks for inspections, and they should have made Mike Kennedy sign a non-disclosure preventing him and his team from making any public statements about the product until it had passed those first few benchmarks to prove to "Coleco" that what they had was real. This debacle could have badly damaged Coleco's brand in the public mind. They should have been more on top of things.
  16. Was there any one of us who didn't expect this to happen? I think we were all just waiting for the other shoe to drop. The Retro team has never shown their hardware to date. If they refused to show it to their partners at Coleco I'm sure they had no other choice but to pull heir name from the project.
  17. Why have we already accepted this notion that a SNES game developed for a "retro console" to run on its "SNES core" is really a game for that retro console? How did we get okie-doked into accepting this fallacy? The fact that were even having this conversation shows you just how far things have gone. It's still an SNES game whether it's running on an original hardware, emulation, Retron 5, Coleco Chameleon, or Omnivision.
  18. Oh dear... The question that has to be asked... Where does one draw the line between vaporware and wanton hoax?
  19. Join us for our February Atari Day Event on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/events/559574347553134/
