  1. The GT 730 has no fan and is under warranty. I've contacted ZOTAC to try claim a warranty. It was working fine while playing CMS 2018 and then there was no video. It's never came back on the few times I've tried. Drivers are updated and are actually updating now. The 730 is only 2 weeks old. For Christmas I upgraded the power supply to an EVGA 450 Bronze power supply. I got more connectors than I will probably actually ever use. I have plans to finish out the system with 16 GB more RAM (making 32 total), I found 500 MB hard drives for $19 brand new so I plan to fill up all those SATA ports, and a case I found that I like from DIYPC that's orange. I love this setup...just ask my wife. She has a hard time getting me off of it. I've not had any issues with it. This has been the best Windows PC I've ever had, period. No other system I've before comes close. I don't let anyone touch this...not even my nephews. Maybe I'm being selfish about it but I know if something was to happen I couldn't afford to replace it. I found a couple of guys that find abandoned vehicles and try to get them running and driving again without changing parts if they don't have to. I'll have to check out the videos you watch. Oh...I forgot...I upgraded the mouse to an ONN Gaming Mouse, too. 😉
  2. It's a fun game and works well with the GTX 460. I'm discovering that game requirements are not 100% accurate. One game in my library says it needs a GPU with 4 GB of VRAM yet it runs on a card with under 1 GB of VRAM. CMS 2018 says it requires 2 GB of VRAM but it runs really good on the GTX 460. The only issue I've had is I heard a loud noise come from the computer and when I went to investigate I discovered one of the graphic card's fan blades had came off. It still works well, though. I'll have to see about finding a replacement fan soon. I had a GT 730 with 4 GB of VRAM but haven't had it a month and the thing stopped working. I'm going to see about getting it replaced or my money back. Computer boots up, sounds and all, but no video signal. 😞 I would love to find an El Camino abandoned and try to get it running again. I always thought those cars were just cool to look at. I'm trying to get back to 100%. Almost there. As soon as I get close my energy level just hits rock bottom without warning. Thank you for the kind words. I'm doing my best to get well.
  3. I got sick back before the holidays. Just before Christmas I started to feel a bit better but couldn't do much without tiring out easily. So I found a new hobby: rebuild a car...virtually. I thought I would share pics of what I've done so far. This is the game's version of a Chevy El Camino...a car I would very much love to own. The rear portion of the car is still in its original color (silver) and where it's black is where new body parts have been replaced. The engine is a 6 cylinder pushing almost 300 HP with the addition of high performance parts. Everything you see here had to either be rebuilt or replaced. Where I could put high performance parts I did including the transmission. The tires you see are exact replacements to what the car came with which I thought were a bit wide but they are 215/70 15". I have spent over a month rebuilding this car playing it when ever I had a bit of energy or those times I had where I couldn't sleep well. I'd get up for a few minutes and work on this to help. Unfortunately my shop funds are low now and is not yet equipped to handle body rust and painting. Yes, I have driven the car around the test track and race track in the game and, WOW...normally the idea is to fix up cars and sell them (with the exception of customer orders of course). I spent $15,000 on this car as it sat in a barn. I had ~$13,000 to rebuild it with, ignoring customer calls completely. I have barely $4,000 left. Car is now worth about $40,000 as it now sits. I know this is not the real thing but cars and how they are presented in the game come randomly. This car was an extremely nice find. I know I could use the $40,000 in-game cash and possible hope to see another one like it but I'm not risking it...this one stays with me. This is one car in the game I wish was real. The one above is to show how random the game generates these cars. Same model car but different setup. Off-road tires and a V8 engine. I found this one in a junk yard for under $4,000. I'm holding on to it to rebuild it. This one I plan to sell. Next to it is an imitation Superbird. My car is behind that. Sorry for the lengthy post but I wanted to share these pics. It's hard to find plastic models in my area and even harder to find an El Camino running around. Rebuilding these is relaxing, I don't run out of parts, paint, or glue, and I never know what I'm going to find in those barns and at the junk yard. Sort of my zen garden if you will. I hope you all enjoy the pics.
  4. Those trakballs are your standard cue ball from a billiard ball set. Yours has yellowed from age and trying to use chemicals on it can cause it to yellow even more. It is made of ivory and of the same quality Atari used in their arcade trakball designs. That controller is one of my favorites to use with the 5200 system. It's a solid design. As long as it works I wouldn't mess with it. But...if the yellow ball bothers you buy a new cue ball from a store, pop the top off, remove old ball, put new ball in, put the top back on. Yes, it really is that simple and I've done it in the past.
  5. I remember one of the "updates" "Atari" mentioned a while back where the OS planned was suppose to be Linux based. Linux at its roots can be a bit overwhelming and Greek to some. I seriously doubt that anyone in-house at "Atari" knows how to program on that level. The guys that would have been able to do it are from the past "Atari" era. Definitely not the group they have now. If they can then color me impressed. With all the modern apps we have now that do the code work for us I seriously doubt anyone at modern "Atari" even know what BASIC is let alone how to use it.
  6. Aww man. I hope I don't miss out on this one. I'm going to try to get in a couple of track times in a bit.
  7. Kind of reminds me of the Destruction Derby PS1 games. Those were fun especially when in 2 you ran the courses backwards until you were the only one left on the track...then finish your lap. I loved those and Sony's Rally Cross.
  8. Its the 2600! Anything on that thing plays well but I'd mix it up with games they know they like with a few they may like based on their previous liked games. Like I'd throw in Midnight Magic along side Video Pinball. But RickR's list is very well rounded.
  9. Well now. Let's see what I can come up with. Space Invaders for the same reason as @socrates63 Super Breakout was my very first game cart...on the 5200. Galaxian and Star Raiders for turning me into a fan of space shooters Pin*Bot influenced my interest in video pinball Wolfenstein 3-D on PC was my first FPS experience in shareware form solo much I spent $60 to get the rest of it. F-Zero on SNES sparked my interest in arcade racing Gran Turismo changed the way I looked at serious racing games. Forza Motorsport was the reason I wanted an XBOX Sonic Adventure influenced my decision to pre order a Dreamcast... ...and Shenmue's open world aspect only proved I made the right decision.
  10. Welcome Crash! You have a new home here. We always have something interesting being said or done. The 5200 is my console of choice but I do have a few 2600 models and a bit over 100 games for the VCS. Again, welcome aboard!
  11. Me either. I sort of lost interest in modern gaming in general. I think I'm done collecting modern hardware. The only consoles I'm after are a PS3, Wii U, and Switch but I'm in no position to consider any new hardware for the time being. I'm also satisfied with my PC I use for Steam games. Congrats on getting yourself a new XBOX, StormSurge. Edit: I need to be more specific on what I mean about modern gaming in general. First the XBOX One is a nice system but most of the games that have come out for it have either not kept my interest or interested me at all. I love Forza, enjoy Terraria, Borderlands, Mudrunners, and Farming simulators. I enjoy Farm Together, too. But what I mean by "modern gaming" is aimed at the new XBOX and PS5 consoles. I have not seen content that interests me. That's all I am trying to say. There are modern games out there I like...just not enough to warrant the purchase of a new machine. Switch has more titles that interest me than the new XBOX and PS5 consoles.
  12. After a lot of consideration my channel is, yet again, getting a name change. But this one will be the final one. I'm changing it to just Kamakazi's World. I want to share other things that interest me besides gaming. It has taken me a long time to figure out what all I would like to do with my channel. Finding time to do any videos has not been an easy task with just video games. So in order to expand to include anything I take interest in might prove to be a bit better. To make the transition...ALL current videos will be taken down. I am starting completely over with a new concept and content in mind. This way I can do: Video game play videos Video game reviews Talk about music formats and hardware Reviews on music formats and hardware General technology General technology repairs and upkeep I'm hoping that the switch will offer better content with my target audience not being limited to just video games. I also don't want to limit myself to age groups as my target audience, young or old, might find something entertaining/educational from my videos. Some current videos will be up until close to Christmas but I am already starting the process of removing videos that have not done anything. This will give me time to redesign graphic and video assets for the new channel. My opening theme I used before is being redone with the help of an Atari ST and Casio keyboard. I'm looking forward to the change. Thank you all for subscribing and I hope you will enjoy the new content coming.
  13. Hey Guys and Gals! Well, I managed to save three of our old sets of Christmas lights. I had to go through 900 lights to find the bad ones but, at the end, it was worth it.
  14. If you have never played any modern games might I suggest, on top of those previously mentioned, the Darksiders series. These are hack and slash mixed with puzzle elements and a unique story that I did enjoy. I favor Darksiders II out of them all. If you like Diablo style games check out Sacred, any in the series, and lastly I feel you might get some value out of Saint's Row but I would suggest Third Row and IV. Those two have a LOT to offer. Gat Out Of Hell, the last in the series, is great fun, too. If you can find those then picks em up as long as you don't mind Teen or Mature game ratings.
  15. I never played it but I hear the Last Of Us was a good game. I know that there were others but I can't for the life of me remember the names. Hey GOOGLE!
  16. I recommend ModNation Racers. Its a Mario-Kart style game where you can design your own tracks. I had a lot of fun with the demo version years ago. If you like side scrollers check out Little Big Planet. Of course 3rd party support is great on that machine. Need for Speed titles are on there, Sniper Elite, Borderlands, Gran Turismo, the PS3 has loads of stuff. I'm sure you will enjoy it. That sure was a nice machine to just dump. I miss my ps3.
  17. I really wish Nintendo would have updated the Wii software so that Netflix could still be used. It made for a great little Netflix box for an older TV.
  18. I can't complain about Metroid Other M or Twilight Princess...I haven't beat them yet but I have had a lot of fun with them. I also enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy. Then again the most expensive Wii game in my collection is City Folk, the rest were $5 or less. My wife gifted me my Wii (Christmas) a few years ago and grabbed Speed with it along with two others. I spend more time on Speed than most of my other Wii games. I don't care that I've already beat the game, I still enjoy the sense of speed and sounds the game has. Its a simple, easy to pick up and play game. My Sims and My Sims Kingdom are fun as well...for me though. The Wii's library of games are casual games and are a nice break from the usual stuff that are far more frustrating and stress inducing than is really necessary. Based on that I don't think the Wii library is entirely terrible. Then again I only have about 30 games for it.
  19. Did you notice your PP2 game says (C) 1984 ATARI, INC. and not Atari Corp.? You might want to check out those other games with the same door.
  20. Clean the lens! Try using a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and gently clean the lens. It might work.
  21. New SMB is by far one of the crown jewels on the Wii.
  22. See if this video helps you RickR.
  23. And mine is the family edition. No GC functions although if you place a GC disc in the drive without the loading mech it loads.
  24. Hey now. Don't leave me out. @RickR you would need to take the top off the Wii. It sounds like a stripped gear. If you get the top off turn the Wii where it is facing you. Look on the right. There is a series of small gears over there. Check them out. With that many discs in the drive it might have been too much for those small gears to handle. It might have either stripped them or caused them to slip. I'd check there first.
  25. Wow! Sweet grab! Those component cables were not usually cheap but, if they work, would improve the video quality from the Wii. And I would not use anything but an official sensor bar with my Wii. I hope it works. Then again that might have been a GS "Premium" bundle. Is the Wii backwards compatible with GC?
