Narrower roads, very limited parking spaces, and lots of bicycles on the roads. Hood mirrors don't stick out at all.
Makes sense now. I watched a few dash cams where someone went down countryside and mountain roads in Japan. Those are some narrow and very tight turning roads. It makes sense why they have small cars as anything larger might not make it on those roads.

lol oh no, let’s keep this clean Mike.
I guess we could put a PG-13 or the T for Teen rating on the first post.
I got this!
FIXED!!

I wonder why Japs thought rear view mirrors worked best from the hood of the car? I don’t see how that’s practical.

Do you know what a four door Yugo is called?
A “Wego”

lol oh no, let’s keep this clean Mike. Yugo GV “great value!” (Zastava Koral) built by a Yugoslavian arms manufacturer, was based on a shortened version of the Fiat 128 dating back to 1969 and very similar to the Fiat 127 and designed initially for the Yugoslavian market. Malcom Bricklin couldn’t help but import these as the cheapest car in America until they no longer met safety standards. They were built in Kragujevac, Serbia through 2008. Interesting to read the history of but not to drive. Without a doubt I’d opt for the solid GTI.
Here’s the 1971 Fiat 127, if you squint you can see the Yugo in there:
I had a family friend who owned that same red Yugo (now I know where the name came from). Slap a powerful motorcycle engine in a small car and let’s see what happens. The car did drive well and fast but everything felt cheap. I had legos made of better plastic. I was just saying looks-wise that VW shape reminded me of the Yugo. Trust me…I’m trying to keep it clean 😉

Well then it's a 1st gen MR2. No hate intended but I'd much rather have an original MR2 than an obviously fake F40 🙃
I agree with you. Those kit cars were very popular.

Not from afar but I always thought the Pontiac Fiero was a cool car.

Very interesting. Yes, I guessed because the front design of that Isuzu looks identical to the front of the DeLorean. The rear end of the car sort of has a Lancia vibe I just wasn’t sure which one. It also sort of resembles the Pinto.

Now I’d drive that! That does give off an Italian vibe. It also gives off that DeLorean vide, too.

Wow Jinks? Let me tell you I've tried to love that game but I can't. I'm interested in your take on it. Am I missing something or is it an acquired taste? Great opinions all around regardless!
I love it! I had been told for years the game was poor by friends I trust. So when I would get the opportunity to pick up 7800 games I didn’t have I would bypass it. It was getting to the point games I did not have were in the weird and crazy section. So I got Jinks figuring if I didn’t like it I at least now had it to sort of fill out my collection.
Yea. The game arrived and I must have powered on and off the console about 10 to 15 times to hear the “Welcome”,”You can’t catch me, YEEOWWW!!”, and the opener music. I was impressed. I never knew TIA was capable of such sounds and that proved right there that the 7800 was a very capable console. It didn’t need a separate sound chip.
The game itself is not that bad. I feel it is a nice break from the quickness arcade games generally require from players. With Jinks you can sort of be laid back. Some times it can be a challenge getting the ball to get in the exit spot at the end of the levels but I found it enjoyable at the same time to try to get every brick and items in the levels. And they do get hard the more you repeat them.
Even if there are only four levels the amount they change keeps them fresh enough for me. I have personally considered this one a hidden gem. I wish I would have picked it up sooner. I also love the box art.

I like arcade ports, so the 1st era and the current era are my favorites; however, that 3rd era was quite interesting.
It was a nice break from the NES offerings.

You’re like the pre 90s cars, right? Like the Datsun B210s, Mavericks, El Camino, things like that?
