I love this game!  There is a way to get a few extra bonus points.  Look at the flags in the upper right hand corner.  Collect the colored flags in the order that it shows and the flags will start to flash for a short while.  I think the flags are worth double while flashing.  I have managed to collect flags while they are flashing to lengthen the time the flags flash.
I remember playing this game at an arcade/go kart place my hometown use to have decades ago.  It was the only time I seen the arcade of Buggy Boy.  I never knew any form of home computer or console got this game until recently.  Unlike the arcade version, however, the ST version lacks other cars on the track to annoy you.  It's just you and the open road.  Controls are simple making this an easy game to pick up and play.  And you don't have to hold throttle down the entire time.  The throttle works the same way as 2600's Enduro.  Get it up to speed and let off.  It will maintain speed until you either hit something, slow down, or crash.  Fire button is used to shift gears.
Awesome score, RP!  I'll have to give it another go.

I managed to squeeze in enough time to work on a few training sessions and, holy crap!  Rocket League cars can fly!!  Somewhat.  Training!  The key to this game is to practice the training sessions.

I agree.  The rebooted Footloose was not that great IMO.

I noticed the other night that our local Wal-Mart got Harry razors.  For the price I may give them a try.  Much cheaper than the Fusions.  Those things are expensive.  I guess I got lucky with the handout I received.  And I had misunderstood what Justin was saying about Gillette.  I wash them off and then dip them in rubbing alcohol to help clean them.  I ignore what Gillette says but I have noticed it doesn't matter what you do...Gillette blades just don't last long.

New follower.  Not sure what my evening is going to have happen but I will attempt to watch.  That's usually my dinner time so I can hopefully watch it.  I haven't tried to stream anything yet but I do believe I have a few clips on my XBOX profile.

As much as I like computers in general modern requirements make having a game console a bit more practical.  Unlike computer games where system requirements have to be met to play a game the game has to be made to meet a console's specs.  Its easier to grab a PS4 or XBOX One game than a PC game any more because you know it will work.
Its available on Steam (Windows, MAC, Linux), XBOX, PS4, and Switch...and online play is cross platform.  On XBOX One I could play others on Switch, Steam, and I believe PS4.  Its worth the money to me.

STs never had much of anything on cart.  A few things but mostly accessory stuff.  That's a good thing, too.  Yes they have cartridge ports but I believe it was a wasted port as no one seemed to use it.  Makes sense because disks were cheaper than carts but they were also very easy to pirate.

Anyone just getting this game be sure to go through the tutorials.  Those are valuable in this game.  And the game offers practice where you can improve your skills solo.  Just you and a ball.  No timer or components.
I'm currently going through a local season.  I think I'm on week 17 with a 16-1 rating.  Yep, I lost a game.  No matter how hard I tried I simply couldn't get a goal.  Doesn't help when one of your AI team mates has no clue which goal to put the ball in.  I'm having a blast!!
Side note: if you can opt for it I'd get the Ultimate Edition as it comes with I believe all cars...some of which are Batman cars and there's even a flying DeLorean in there.  I wonder where they got that idea?  Lol

I found a new favorite modern game.  And it's a sports game.  So far, this one is my top-favorite sports game of all time.  It took only a few minutes of game playing to seal the deal for me.
I can see how this game won/was nominated for over 150 awards.  Cars, a ball, and a soccer field.  Why didn't anyone think of this before?  Oh well, it's here now to enjoy.  I've still got some learning to do.  It even has its own Twitch channel that's like watching an ESPN sports that pops up, in-game, at the main menu screen.  And the cars can be customized by colors, hats, antenna, decals, turbo, tires, and other things...all of which the player collects more of during the game with some offered as DLC content.  It's available on practically every platform out there and offers online playing with cross-platform online gaming.  My hats off to the developers.  Finally a modern sports game that is actually fun.

Any game that starts out as an unknown project (I remember watching this title develop on Steam) and creates a league of its own where tournaments with scholarships are on the line then that should speak volumes about it.  I'm not as good as others but I really do enjoy the game.
Below is a link to a tournament where the champion got a $50,000 scholarship.  First game is about 30 minutes in.  Its on Twitch.  They hold live tournaments often.

Maybe I should give this game a try. It sounds like the system requirements aren't too high. (I really need a new video card.)

Kind of looks like modern "Ballblazer"!

That implies this is available on PC?  I'll have to look for it then.

I still have my 360 hooked up too, with a plethora of games in my backlog.
If ever want to give PUBG a shot, let me know. I’d be happy to play with you.

Well, I wasn't much into online gaming because of the fear of running into those sort of gamers that like to ruin it for everyone else.  Strange turn of events, once I met my wife I got to know her brother from afar.  I've never met the man in person but because of him I got introduced to online gaming.  We'd play 360 in co-op mode on lots of games like Saints Row, Crackdown, Halo (his favorite), racing games (I'd always win  ), Fable, anything that XBOX Live would give us that we could play together we enjoyed.  We also picked up a few like Minecraft, Terraria, CoD Ghosts, Black Ops II, Battlefield 3, and the Borderland series to name a few.
If you have family or trusted friends playing online with them on computer or modern console can be lots of fun.  Even if it is a game you are unfamiliar with chances are one of your online members can and might take the time to show you the ropes.  Some of today's games really show how advanced games have come.  And I believe that XBOX is the only company trying to bring all gamers together regardless of what system they are playing together on.  Now if only Sony would jump on that ship.

That ending theme is pretty good for a Mario game.  I have never forgot it or the other music in the game.  I really like the oriental-themed music on the boss levels.  It's one game I have really enjoyed revisiting during this challenge.  It's not too hard to beat once you get the hang of it.  And, yep, I beat it too after posting my last score.  So I can add that one to the list of 2019 game beat list

Improved my score.  Made it to World 2-1, my emulator wigged out on my first jump, causing me to fall.  Not sure what happened.

JUSTIN!  Why did you pick this game?!?!  The issues I had with this game from decades ago are returning.  I am finding it very difficult to the game off for any reason.  I'm not sure if this was a good thing or not LOL.  I've got the tunes playing in my head when I sleep.

We've been praying for him and the office has been taking up a collection to help his wife with trips back and forth to the town he's in for rehab.  She's been making those trips daily.  He was my best man at my wedding.  Thanks for the kind words.
