RickR
I think we've all clamored for that SD card slot, so I think I'm going to go ahead and get one of these! greenween

Just an FYI, do your research, I could be wrong but my understanding regarding the Flashback 9 is old paddles are not compatible, new FB 9 specific paddles are apparently coming but I do not know the status of it. greenween and Justin 1 1 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. MaximumRD
24 minutes ago, Justin said: Why would they do that? Mostly because AtGames is garbage imho. They never get everything quite right, the suspicious part of me says so they can milk more money from suckers ? Here is the official info pasted from the FAQ on AtGames site but I do not take anything they say at face value, they always go with the cheapest implementation for just good enough experience to sell to Atari fans. I personally have not been interested in any flashbacks since I got the Flashback 2, once atGames took over it was a no from me. I posted the initial video for those who will buy it anyways or already have. But I do not recommend anything by AtGames personally. I suggest anyone considering check out any of several reviews (Searching Flashback 9 on YouTube turns up plenty) PASTED FromAtGames FAQ : Some Atari games were designed to work with paddle controllers. Where and how do get I get them? All Atari Flashback games, even those originally designed for paddle controllers, are playable with joysticks. The reason why users opt to purchase paddle controllers is to have more precise control for games originally designed for that format, or, with two sets of paddle controllers, to play select games that support up to four players at once. You will soon be able to purchase additional paddles from the AtGames eCommerce Store or other eCommerce sites. Can paddles from previous Atari Flashback versions or the original Atari work on the Atari Flashback 9? Atari Flashback 9 Boom and Atari Flashback 9 Gold are not compatible with original Atari paddle controllers or previous AtGames paddle controllers. The 2018 versions of the AtGames paddles only work with the Atari Flashback 9 Boom and Atari Flashback 9 Gold, and do not work on any other platforms or previous AtGames Link to entire FAQ https://www.atgames.us/pages/faq Justin and greenween 2 Quote I am Rob aka MaximumRD aka OldSchoolRetroGamer and THIS is my world http://about.me/maximumrd "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. Atari Creep
Aside from my Atari portable this is the first AtGames Flashback I have been considering picking up. greenween and Justin 2 Quote Don't just watch TV, PLAY IT!
RickR
It's good to know about the paddle issue, but it's not a deal breaker. After all, the portable (which I love) doesn't have paddles either. Some games will just need to be played on an original console. Paddle games, Indy 500, and anything that uses a number pad. But for 90% of the library, this thing will do fine. At $50 or so, it's a good deal. Plus, that HDMI output looks NICE.
