I've also created this very special button which we're awarding to all Atari I/O Members upon reaching 500 posts! This button features the Apple from Pac-Man which is the member pip earned in the forums when you reach 500 posts. Pear buttons for 1,000 posts and Banana buttons for 2,000 posts will be awarded as well.

That's a bang-on assessment MaximumRD. The Flashback is what it is, the general public seems to have liked them. If you want the closest thing to real Atari hardware though stick with the 2 or 2+.

I've been meaning to start a blog as well, it's hard to find the time. There's so much I'm doing for the site, writing for the Retroist, contributing to our own blog, etc. plus there's real life. I really want you guys to feel like you have the tools to make the most out of your personal blogs here.

Steve Bristow sadly passed away last week. It seems as though we've been losing genuine geniuses and pioneers of the video age far too often recently.
