  1. I've also created this very special button which we're awarding to all Atari I/O Members upon reaching 500 posts! This button features the Apple from Pac-Man which is the member pip earned in the forums when you reach 500 posts. Pear buttons for 1,000 posts and Banana buttons for 2,000 posts will be awarded as well.
  2. New Atari I/O buttons are out for Summer 2015! Each set of buttons are hand made and come with five different designs in a little baggie. We're introducing new designs semiannually and giving away the buttons for free! This is Button Set 2, and includes the following buttons: Centipede Adventure Japanese Atari 2800 ビデオ コンピューター システム Atari Official Sponsor of the 1984 Summer Olympics atari.io We're giving these away free as a special THANK YOU to everyone for being part of the forums! The first dozen sets have already been sent out to our most active Atari I/O Members. Button Sets are numbered for collectability and won't be produced again once they're gone. If you haven't received buttons and would like a set, send a PM to me or The Professor with your mailing address and we'll be sure to send some buttons your way! (FedEx can't deliver to PO Boxes)

      You're welcome Arenafoot :-)

  4. Hope everybody had a wonderful 4th of July!

  5. Thanks for sharing noswear! I'm thinking we should start an official directory of forum member eBay names, like we did with YouTube: http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/377-official-atari-io-member-youtube-directory/
  6. Thank you for the wonderful shoutout, nosweargamer! That was very kind of you to mention the community. Another great video, as always. I'll be sure to share it on our Facebook page this weekend

      ?? isn't it already here????

  9. Willie, I really enjoyed your podcast's interview with Dan Kramer. Nice work
  10. That's a bang-on assessment MaximumRD. The Flashback is what it is, the general public seems to have liked them. If you want the closest thing to real Atari hardware though stick with the 2 or 2+.
  11. I just shot a pinball video about an hour ago, it should be up sometime soon
  12. Updated navigation menu as we begin to integrate the Forums more seamlessly with the rest of the site. Games profile pages coming soon too. Lots of fun things under development right now. Hope you guys like the site \[-_-]/

  13. I've been meaning to start a blog as well, it's hard to find the time. There's so much I'm doing for the site, writing for the Retroist, contributing to our own blog, etc. plus there's real life. I really want you guys to feel like you have the tools to make the most out of your personal blogs here.

  15. Thanks Yo-Yo! Yep, Retroist is awesome. Have you checked out their podcast?
  16. Awesome work, Arenafoot! I'll make sure we incorporate this into our guide if you're willing to contribute. Fantastic stuff.
  17. Steve Bristow sadly passed away last week. It seems as though we've been losing genuine geniuses and pioneers of the video age far too often recently. My latest article at The Retroist commemorates Steve and in particular his accomplishments at AtariTel - Atari's advanced telephone division. I hope you'll check it out, and remember Steve as fondly as all of us do. - Justin Link to the article on The Retroist: http://www.retroist.com/2015/03/05/ataritel-telephones-and-the-legendary-steve-bristow/

  19. I'm basically snowed in tonight. And for some reason I've become addicted to 2600 Pac-Man. Its flaws make it challenging in the oddest ways

Sucks you're snowed in, at least you're at home though! I always liked the 2600 Pac Man,it gets very repetitive, but hell, we would play it for hours!

I'm starting to find that too! Maybe I've always been a 7800 snob, but I've always opted to play 7800 Ms. Pac-Man or 2600 Jr. Pac-Man over the original. It has an awful reputation. Yet for some reason I find myself looking forward to playing it all day long. Maybe there's something to this.
