  4. Those look pretty cool. Even if you don't have a record player those would look cool in those record frames that let you hang your favorite records on the wall like you would a picture. Why isn't Atari doing more stuff like this to celebrate their classic games?

  6. Its funny how they keep using the phrase "tabletop games" above. They want you to think they are making something similar to the Bridge Direct handhelds (of today) or the Coleco Tabletop Arcade machines (from early 80's), but in fact they are referring to "board games"...... LOL  B)  Nice try!

I get what you're saying, but that's what they're commonly called though. If you go into a store that sells Magic or D&D, everybody there will call them "Tabletop Games" and board games can fall into this name too. Games like Magic or D&D aren't necessarily board games in the traditional sense, so they call them "Tabletop Games". Our area in the forums for this is called "Tabletop Games" and is subtitled "Board games, card games, dice games, miniatures wargames, tile-based games and other games. Discuss Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and more!"

    From Wikipedia:

Tabletop game is a general term used to refer to board games, card games, dice games, miniatures wargames, tile-based games and other games that are normally played on a table or other flat surface. The term is used to distinguish these types of games from sports and video games. The term is also used to distinguish role-playing games from role-playing video games and LARPs, although role-playing games may not necessarily require a wide playing surface. Another related term is a hobby game.

  7. Says a lot about the "collector" community. So many of them are thugs and video-pimps. Some great systems that I love to play have been ruined in a way by the community that's developed around them in the past few years. Johnny-come-lateleys who were kids 10 years ago and would laugh in my face if I showed them one of these systems now run wild on Facebook calling themselves experts, being rude to others and acting like all around A-holes to anybody else with an interest in classic games. They've made some of these prices ridiculous.

  10. Thought maybe someone would have ripped the ROM. It went out of production right before I got my 7800. I've really been hoping to find that and Combat 1990.

Are you trying to find Combat 1990 on cartridge or rom?

  12. The commercial for the new Crystal Pepsi is really really good. It's called "The 92nd Floor". It starts off with a janitor at Pepsi who is cleaning the elevator and finds a button to a secret 92nd floor. ("92" for 1992 when Crystal Pepsi is from) The elevator turns in to a sort of time machine that takes him to this hidden floor where it's still 1992. Even the video goes back to standard definition and the commercial looks like it was recorded from TV on VHS. Here it is:

  13. Seems like Crystal Pepsi has made a resurgence lately. Lots of people talking about it. For some reason the idea of clear Pepsi seemed really magical at the time, even though it was basically just 7-Up or Sprite. I wonder how many actually drank it at the time? It only lasted from 1992-1993 but the commercial was memorable even today:
