This is cool! I have a non-working Pro controller that I could replace with this!

DCG reacted to Sabertooth in Jaguar ProController Reproductions Announced
There was an exciting post today over on the Atari Jaguar Facebook page. Apparently, some folks are working on a reproduction of the Jaguar ProController. If you're a Jaguar fan, you know that the ProController vastly improves on the original Jaguar controller in terms of feel and function. Many of the late releases (1995 and beyond) have ProController support that enhances gameplay. Unfortunately, these controllers regularly exceed $200 on eBay, making them out of reach for many gamers. The reproductions will reportedly cost $50-60. They are asking for an interest check now but I'm hopeful that this comes to fruition. Maybe Clint can confirm and provide more information?

Well, searching through Dreamcast Gamer's YouTube channel (which I hadn't seen before, I'll have to take some time to watch more of it!), I will say...
Garfield Gets Real
(By the way, has anyone ever seen "Garfield: His 9 Lives"? That cartoon was amazing.)

DCG reacted to Jin in Well hey there!
Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone! This does certainly seem like a very mellow and laid back place. I'll have to spend some time poking around the forums a bit and checking it all out.

DCG reacted to Jin in Well hey there!
Hello everyone! I found my way over here thanks to the plugs for Atari.io in the YouTube videos of NoSwearGamer and BTB, both of whom I've been subscribed to for a couple years now. I've been an active member on the AtariAge forum since 2014 (it's pretty much my main online hangout spot) and decided that it was time I branched out a bit and checked out some other sites that were recommended by the folks I enjoy on YouTube.
Sooo... here I am!

DCG reacted to Atari 5200 Guy in Left Behind - Nintendo Edition
Hi Atarians!
So...after lunchtime, I'm sitting in my living room playing on my 800XL going through the really large amount of programs I downloaded from the Internet Archives when there was a knock on my door. So I go to answer it. Once again one of the maintenance guys to our apartment complex was standing there holding machines at almost face level. He's the same one that dropped off the last console. It's amazing what people leave behind sometimes.
I was just handed a N64 (with adapter, controller, and memory expansion pak!) and a Super NES (console only). So my Atari Day turned into an Atari/Nintendo Day. I'm not complaining...I only wish I had the rest of the Super and one game (F-Zero) to test it out as I have no clue if it works. The N64 works but the reset button sticks and is missing the bottom expansion bay cover.
The thumbstick on the N64 controller will need replacing. No biggie there. Otherwise it works.
And the Super NES has that commonly known problem with the power jack missing the center plastic piece. This one may take a while as it needs everything!! I don't even own an SNES game but this has been a much wanted system in the collection so I am grateful to get it. Oh...and it looked much worse than what this picture shows. I cleaned it up a bit before taking the picture. At least it is not half yellow and half white like most are.
As soon as I get the proper bit tool to open these up, and more of my favorite cleaner, I will be doing a thorough cleaning job on them. I'm glad to have them.
NOTE: Edited to correct errors.

Yup! I just happen to get the review up sooner than expected. Time's up when the review is posted. Sometimes, you may get days, or like today, only hours. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

DCG reacted to MaximumRD in Sega "SPARTAN" HERE WE GO AGAIN !
And really when you break down the proposal they are really not offering anything one cannot do themselves by taking a mid level PC and loading it up with emulators and adding a wireless controller. Sega would laugh at this.

Thank you, agree 100%, it has never worked this way in the past, these "fans" are delusional but I think it is a reflection of the current generation based less in reality and more thinking because of social media believing in their own self interests take priority over anything else. It is great to have nostalgia and love something but this is not the way to revive it.

SEGA has zero interest in re-entering the hardware market. These "fan" led attempts at spurring them to do so are just sort've weird. Also, the design is horribly ugly. It has all of the worst attributes of "gaming" PCs.
